Facelift Audi Sound System Sub settings?

Bought a 66 plate S-Line demonstrator, with the Audi Sound System listed. There's a sub in the boot and it has a centre speaker so I'm assuming that means it does indeed have the Audi Sound System, but I can't see any control for the sub in the MMI? What am I missing?

Hello! Does this speakers working? If you have *** fully installed, it have a Subwoofer independent controller in MMI.

You can have connected the speakers, but if you don't have a 9VD file uploaded to MMI, they can't work.

Should be a control for subwoofer and bass in the tone settings.... two separate controls.

Did any one resolve this? I have the same problem on a 17 plate A3 Saloon BE
 
There is no setting for this in the FL for *** I believe you need B&O for this to be an option.

My '16 plate Q5 with *** does have the subwoofer setting but not sure why the FL A3/S3 doesn't.

I've seen on here that the *** should have the sub setting and the B&O shouldn't. Very confusing I have asked me dealer to look into this for me
 
Mine is a PFL , it is a S3 Nav and I have the *** and DO have the sub setting as shown on the pic from FFa113. Strange to take something away , I wonder if there is a VDS mod to get it back.
Perhaps they want to sell more B and O systems.

I have B&O on a FL and there is no sub setting .
 
Likewise, if it isnt there, it should be!

I must have missed it, where in the menus is it?

I know for definite if you're on radio and move the MMI dial to the right to get the settings screen up, go into sound settings and it should be in there. I'm at work at the mo but so long as I remember will get a video when I finish.
 
I'm in the same boat as mikemod.
I've got B&O, but just tone and bass in the settings.
(Not that they hold their memory, but we're all aware of that now).

Yep, just went out and checked the car again and there is no Sub setting in the Sound Settings menu, just Treble, Bass, Balance/fader and Sound effects
 
There should also be an effect option in there with b and o
 
I've got B&O and can see Bass and Subwoofer in sound settings.

According to some of the comments from that YouTube video there is a software update as the option was missed in the early cars.
Not sure about the truth in that.

With the A4 earlier mmi firmware versions did not have a sub woofer setting. Maybe it is the same for the a3 fl....
 
My face lift A3 doesn't have the sub settings for the ***

My pre facelift A3 did.

The sub is working on the facelift but it's not as good as the prefaclift

Is it worth people posting their firmware versions to compare?

I'm waiting for my dealer to get back to me.. Once I hear anything I will post the update.

This is my scan from VCDS

Component: MU-P-LND-EU 052 0679

I assume the software version is 0679
 
i was playing around with mine today as ive just got the car. does the B&O system have badges on the grills, the sales perticulars said the car has a 10 spaker system and i can see the Sub mentioned.
 
Did anyone end up getting this fixed? Got the same issue on my S3 with B&O, also on firmware 0679.
 
You need to persuade your dealership to update the MMI firmware. They usually only do this when instructed to by Audi...

Well the salesmen I dealt with is now on holiday for the week so I asked the finance guy I dealt with. He didn't know anything about it but passed it onto the service department who are closed for the weekend. Hopefully the service department can update it for free.
 
I rang the dealer and they checked two new unregistered A3s, both with B&O and neither had the sub setting so they have told me it is normal.
 
Surely the tech pack advanced would have no bearing on it, if not you should show them my video above and ask if it's normal to not have it, why does my car have it.
