Just had a chat with Audi CS, don't know anymore info than me which is fair enough but said it could take up to 15 working days to be assigned a ship, with the lack of ships due into Grimsby I can see this being a long wait!

No idea how I managed to get my car to progress so quickly but my dealer only ordered on the 16th January and my build week is scheduled for 6th February. I can only guess the dealership network had one with the same spec in the pipeline.

I ordered from Grimsby Audi and asked them if I could collect from the port but the sales manager who I spoke to explained that Audi UK have stopped them from collecting from the port. He explained that they used to be able to drive down themselves and pickup individual cars but have stopped allowing that now.

I'd imagine that's because it skips PDI maybe?

You've been very lucky here mate, you must have got one of their allocated build slots so have jumped the queue massively. I have the same build date as you, I moved to "Prep" this morning - you the same?

If you are going to swap before warranty is up I wouldn't bother, you could always purchase one nearer the time if want to keep the car for the full term. Audi will be all over you to swap before 3

Was on Saturday for me. But like I said, I'm pretty sure only update once a week at this early stage of the manufacture process so probably was Saturday for you also?

No Nothing.... I thought 38 meant it was on boat :( ... I was soo disappointed the other day when I worked it out ...
does it need a date stamp then????
they told me it could take up to 2 weeks, but the dealer said the CS will always give worst case scenarios.... he said it will be on a boat in a couple of days... and he said that yesterday....

No, definitely changed this morning. Been checking it every day. My Mrs' Q2 was in prep for less than a week, and went into panel shop 1.5 weeks before her build slot. Lets hope they're still this far ahead so we start our builds soon :D

Is the Q2 built in the same factory?
 
Yup - said it was done in Ingolstadt

No, looking at other people's status posts there is no date stamp for 38, it skips to 39 for date and time.
 
Yeah I've ordered a 1.0

Ordered through fleet company Arval as a company car.

Order beginning of Jan. Youraudi is given me a build time of March 13th

When did you order yours?

I've gone for the 1.4 TFSI and seem to have a long wait (Status 10 shows 23/12/16 order date shows 07/12/16) and youraudi is saying 06/03/17 to begin construction. I'm guessing its something I have picked in my spec or does do you think it's about right?

That seems about right for that I believe. Just seems that 1.0 engines are taking a while as they're new :/ I would've waited 6 months at this rate

That is a long delay! - I was wondering if there was something going on with the Paints as there are only 3 colour choices on the configurator at the moment (and they don't include Ibis White or Brilliant Black which I have gone for)

I did notice that but the app has gone back to normal so I'm not sure about this :/ These cars just seem to take a while haha! Got my test next Friday so I've just got to pass that and then I'm good :tearsofjoy:

I know. We have missed 3 ships now :worried: City of Rome is our next hope, seems to be doing the Grimsby to Emden route.

Currently in Emden, not 100% sure it's going to Grimsby yet as it's not showing it's destination. but has been back and forth there a few times recently.
 
still 38 guys.... this is killing me now..... even my dealer rang me first thing saying this is taking a little longer than normal...
I'm hoping its on either of the next two ships.... City of Rome/Weser Highmay(due in tomorrow morn)/Rockies Highway(Not sure if this goes to England though

What variant have you ordered? Saloon or Hatch? I think the backlog is with Hatchbacks.

Weser Highway is still in Grimsby unfortunately so will be a few days before it makes it's return trip.
