Seen a Black A4 2.5 tdi quattro saloon for sale in local trader 53 plate with 60k miles and full service history, leather etc

whats the bad points of a 2.5tdi ive owned many 1.9tdi and they have been fine is there any thing to worry about??

I have one and I find it fantastic when compared to my last 130 1.9 TDi.

I spent the day pleasing myself around Castle Combe in my own car yesterday and whilst the V8's were fast I wasn't hanging around either.

Actually I thought about this.... I wondered how they compared and did some readin on it as one day I'm selling the S4 and probably get a B6 Avant Tdi. Theres a few post on here about MPG and things and in all honesty I think I'll stick with the 1.9 unit. Im looking for an economic car though not a performance one and the 2.5 TDI is of course much faster but Im thinking a tuned 1.9 might be better. There is a thread on here about 2.5 MPG and it seems that the 1.9 TDi is far better at delivering MPG.....but that isnt the be all and end all.....

Get one great car usual small things air flow metre break light switch went faulty but apart from that rocket with great power where the 1.9 doesnt up over the 90 mph mark the 2.5 jst keeps pulling i love mine granted mine is the 180 bhp model and its chipped but its faster than my friends 150 bhp tdi chipped golf my opinion get one:arco:

i see there is a slurp on line where you from slurp and what car do you drive?

I've had exactly the same car for 2 weeks now. It's very lovely indeed and goes like a train.

My sentiments exactly, it reminds me of a train  , it's just effortless progress and even though it's an oil burner the V6 engine sounds fantastic.

Mine is returning 35MPG for average driving, I guess if you are a bit heavy on the throtle that will go down somewhat.
One the motorway it's brill. just sips fuel.

It's a heavy old car mind! handling is very good though (Q model)
