Very dirty, but new wheels fitted, wanted to refurb them first but flat tyre meant they had to go on as is. IMG 20160506 214145DSC 0856

Awesome, what tyres are you running? Are they 9inches thick wheels? or 8.5's ?

I'm running 225/35 on the back & 215/35 on the fronts bit going to change them so running 225/35 all round. They are 9" wide all round.

Thanks. Gosh..that is simply an unbelievable amount of stretch. I had 235's running on a 9'' and it was horrible. Hope you dont have the issues i had.

Ive 235/35/19 on a 9.5" rim. they came like that so Im going to swap to 245/255.

looks crap in fairness

I'm lowered & 235 rub never had any issues running 225 all round so will stick with them the 215 are like rubber bands lol

Yes I know this all too well. The ride quality was sh*t for me being on a 30'' profile. I also put this down to the stock suspension not being up to the job of carrying the heavy 20'' wheel.

From my own experience, I would never again run a tyre width under the specified amount.

..anyways..looking awesome Jamie.

i would recommend 255's for a 9'5 width. Trust me, you want to stick with tolerances as close as possible.

Either way..show us your 'stance' after :p

Spent 3 hrs the other day giving my special edition quattro a good clean and polish... Came out the next day and she was covered in wierd dust and tree crap. Really annoying! Just moved to a new house and I think the trees around the area release lots of bits :( might have to chop them down! Luckily got this pic just after polishing.

Wheels are non branded replicas they haven't got an offset stamped in them I measured using a tape and reckoned on et35 but could be less looking at them now fitted. They are 19 x 8.5j. Tyres are big at 255/35/19 but they were brand new and cheap so I couldn't turn them down.

Thanks Pete. Yes, for those specs of wheel, ET35 seems the norm. Indeed 255 over a 8'5'' is beefy but do'able.

On a 9inch thick tyre with ET35, its the perfect flush look, if thats what you're after (spacers perhaps)

Thought I'd put another pic of the motor on after a nice little detail.

So far -

-H&R springs.
-LCR splitter.
-Alloys refurbed with new tyres.
-Full interior LED upgrade.
-Had 12mm spacers but slightly rubbed on the rear so have a set of 10mm coming but have a feeling they won't fit over the hub.
-Audi service and MOT.
-New EGR valve and Vacuum Actuator.
-Calipers and hubs painted Satin Black.

Never had a car with such a high spec of extras. Now she is ready for the move back to Germany in July and she'll be traded for a nice Tax Free Q5.

I'd love to have her fully paint corrected and machine polished but it's just too expensive.

Anyone near Brighton that has a machine polisher and fancies earning a bit of cash let me know :)

cheapo one from argos mate, http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerm/daul+action+polisher.htm
i didn't want to blow a shed load of cash on a pro one either as how often it gets used wouldn't justify the cost this thing dose the same as a pro at less than half the price, i dont believe the hype of the mega bucks ones, they all spin only disc size and orbit size differ

I love mine @DrStrange.

They are made in the same factory as KW's and if you need to contact them you ring KW. The main reason for them being budget is because they are made out of steel were as the KW's have a stainless casing on them basically.

Awesome, thanks Carl.

Yes, I was aware that they are the sister/borther company of KW and what you say helps. Ride quality good? Do you find them better than stock set up? I feel my shocks and springs are no longer up to the task of supporting my 20'' wheels.

I was with S-line and 18" now AP With 19" and i can say same ride !
They are great for now, a few times in London on the bump stops i hear my undertray but ... Well happy now !

Great! Good to hear and thanks for your input.

Loads of people saying they are fantastic bang for your buck. Was expecting to shell out a fortune for Coilovers potentially
