Post pics of your B7 A4/S4!

Agree with AJ and all...

De-chroming looks awesome. Ive managed to fully de-chrome my B6 cabriolet and it has quite literally taken my car from slightly dated to modern and more aggressive which is the look im after.

If anyones interested, my build thread over on the B6 side, coming soon.

The old girl had a wash today, desperately needs a polish and a de-chrome!

yep , I agree , and those tips need to go for something else far more in keeping with the styled rearend.

Dimitar,

Do you have an OSIR rear diffuser ? Or is it the DTM version. Either way, looks great.

Just need to get bigger exhaust tips and angled straight :p

Yes mate the rear bumper is DTM and i will get the tips done ! I got them inthe garage but haven't got time this weekend !

Yeah it was at ultimate dubs on the rotiform stand not so long ago, looks mean, there's only 5 sets of 20" CCVs in machined silver in the country according to the dealer I bought them off

These was on an A5 looked stunning at Elsecar@theraces this weekend,

What size tyres are you both using ??

225/35/20 8.5j et35

Rears are on 17mm spacers most of the time but for show go on 23mm and put the 17mm on the front

how it sits without out spacers on

Also fully neg rear camber

Hope this helps

I was on 235/30/20. (9inches)

Which puts my speedo at almost the exact same as the OEM fitment of 225/45/17.

Now im on 265/30/20 which is an OEM spec for an Audi a5 when on 20's

I prefer this as the tyres are meatier. The stretch was awful wrapping a 235 over 9inch wide tyres.

The fitment RotiCab above has..will certainly put the speedo out by more than 5% which is the recommended limit. However he benefits from a 35 profile. (much better ride quality)

Also, He may not care about the speedo

Do ask If ive confused you with numbers etc.

Speedo is slightly out

Since you run or were running 235/30 and I'm running 225/35 the profiles should be somewhere similar. Rough calculations below.

7.9cm mine

7.1cm yours

I think 18s are too small, the 30 you are saying is 30% so say your rim is a 8j a 235/30/18 tyre, it will sit with no stretch, the 30 is 30% of the total width so 30% of 235 is around 7.1cm

i have attached a pic of mine on 18s with 235/40/18 tyres on, sorry its dark

Agreed!

18's are just too small looking for the big **** Cabby. I saw one the other day which looked OK at best because it was slammed and widened but 19's as a minimum.

Generally speaking, going up a rim size means going down a profile %. Some exceptions do apply like RotiCab above.

PS. Just saw you joined Comrades of VAG Roticab

Loving the cab ccv's, I'm dying to get a set of them for the avant one of the best looking wheels on the market at the minute. Rotiform seem to be killing it with there alloys

Hong Kong Phooey weekend project.
Engine back in following Forged rebuild. Stage 2 with lots of stuff constantly being added, much to the dismay of my better half as it was originally her car from new.

Liking the grill. Can you point me in the direction of where you got it?
And is the car with an S-Line package?
Have struggled to find after market grills for anything other than standard bumpers.

Finally...a cabby member who has done some serious engine tuning mods. AWESOME work!!

Haha of course the Mrs will be dismayed. She would be super impressed with the spike in power no doubt.

With forged Rods and Pistons, how come you didn't elect to go for a bigger turbo instead of the custom K04 ? Because the prices should be the roughy same for a higher rated turbo.

Or is it a Hybrid rated to a big number?

I can help in the meantime..

Basically this Grill is the standard S line Grill that comes with all S-line Cabs. You have an SE bumper and Grill. You would need the complete S line bumper and Grill if you wanted this look. An RS4 Grill can be placed inside the housing of the S-line Grill if you preferred.

To answer your question, the only way would be to make your own grill to fit in the SE Grill housing.

Hope this helps..

Hi. It is the latter, custom finished by Lee @ Owen Dev as a favour, so a few quids worth of care and attention.

Good for up to 330hp but currently running a mild map circa 250hp as I am still on a CVT gearbox. It seems to be holding up following an oil and ecu change, however Ben @ Shark suggested limiting torque to around 300nm until we convert to either FWD manual, or a donor B6 Quattro later in the year.
Have a 3inch MAF and some Green giant injectors on their way so intend to take it back to Shark and persuade him to fit and wind it up a bit.
It doesn't get launched so should be good for a bit more (always a bit more)

Yes, sure does and thanks for the tip.
May opt for the whole thing from xenonzuk and paint her when I do the tranny swap.
Not sure if anyone has exeprience of these?

Awesome! Great little read and it all makes sense.

Indeed, that choice is yours weather you swap to a B6 Quattro or opt to have the Tranny changed.

Im very lucky as I have the best of both. Manual Quattro Cabriolet.

I like the idea of the conservative map until the above is taken care of. VERY jealous as my cab is still 163bhp stock, but will push it to 220bhp with TIP, DV, De-cat, Turbo Back exhaust and Remap next Year.
