What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Changed the alternator clutch pulley, was a bit of a pain but mainly due to the new belt being slightly too short so had to fit the original one.

managed to get a really good deal on a brembo kit in the states , miles cheaper than over here or Europe but i'll have to wait a while for it as its being shipped over in a container of other stuff.
these kits cost way to much over here and I would not go with it normally but I have a friend that works in Chicago, he has some kit coming back so it can just go in that, so works out as a great deal.

Nice brakes but $1900 for the cayenne conversion, ouch!!

nope didn't pay that, after the exchange rate and through the supplier I used they came in at £925.56 and no shipping etc ,that's why I said it was great deal, I would not have doneit otherwise as prices are way too much as you say, I should have bought half a dozen sets and sold them on here I think.

Nice one Rob the old bus is looking good mate,:sm4: Some tasty looking motors in that garage :hubbahubba:

bought and fitted my piper cross panel filter part number PP1598 (all A4s are the same) and got rid of the standard paper element, finding this while I was at it

old vs new

I'm impressed with that Carl, you used the big electrical tape that I think tiny posted about the other week?

Looks like a pro job - gloss or matte? Did you use tape or big sheets of vinyl? I tried tape myself but couldn't get it round the rear quarter corner.

Haha auto correct, it's a pain.

Cheers Tony......that rear corner was a real PITA but did the join right on the join of the aluminium.

Nice job Carl, like the deep concave on those rotors

Cheers pal on both counts.

Even the devil cannot get rid of the mess in the lacquer.....either paint it or wrap it. Paint would last but the rear quarter light is a window out jobby to remove the surround I believe. CLICKY for the tape.

You're more than welcome Rob.....I live in Cleveleys to be precise which is only a couple of miles away from Fleetwood.....but I did grow up there!

Hmmm intrigued what you could be getting from Fleetwood for the A4 that I missed out on.....or are these your brakes?

You said you'd keep quiet, he can't help it can he ha.

need to pick a few goodies inc a nice rns-e head unit , brand new and boxed pair of black roof rails and a few other bits....
brembo brake kit is coming from the states in a container of other stuff so will take a while by sea freight, icould use them asap really but i'll just have to be patient I suppose.....

How did I miss out on those?

Is it an upgrade to a MkII RNS-E or do you not have one in yours?

I think I may leave my rails silver as it breaks it up a little.....even though a mate of mine said I can swap for his black ones if I want.

they were on gumtree and just advertised as audi radio and roof bars......so the moto is allways to check everything with the word audi in the advert..lol

its out of a 2007 special edition MK2 avant and its the complete setup , and as I don't have rnse in mine MK1 and as this was silly money it was worth going with it....£150 for the pair , that's almost nothing mate, and a few other little bits to enhance the old bus aswell inc OEM BT kit....Its Christmas all over again carl.
i'm probably going to leave around the windows as chrome but change the roof rail to black as I have the silver rims to offset it all .

That's one thing I never use......you paid less for the lot than it would have just for the BT module.

Well done Rob that is a real bargain

Today I got to spend 6 hours on the Avant, gave it a good claybar - Snowfoam - Poorboys White Diamond and then a hard wax.

Used G3 then White Diamond then hard wax on the surrounds and they started to get better.... Need to spend 8 hours on them alone.

Anyway here's some results
