Top Gear
Fitted 034Motorsport engine mounts, serviced it, alternator belt and tensioner, fitted a yellow spring and serviced the Forge DV, feels like new
Nope
Sure.. If you'll do the same..That's good to hear as I'm about to split mine to have a go at repolishing the lips.
If you find the torque settings for the bolts it would be nice if you could share them ha ha.
Don't bother with that , buy some 600 and 1500 grit wet and dry. Wet sand the hell out of them, then aerosol laquer over that. Like new, I do it do a living, takes 30 mins to do both!
Today I replaced lower front arms drop links and front anti roll bar bushes all were mentioned on my mot last week end as looking pretty worn and they were !!!!
Next on my list is track rod ends as I noticed a split on the one boot

Oh update on above post.
Fitted, removed then returned to German and Sweedish in record time, the fit was awful. When I ordered them the sales plank said they were made by the same people (VALEO I guess) , no they were made by Depo, I did say when they delivers them i expect you will be getting them back but was willing to try also I didn't like having to fight with the bulb holder to try and get it to fit. I've just ordered two from TPS now.
Then you need to buy oem ones at VW/AudiAlways done new for old when components break down.
How easy are they to code the clocksat the time it had only just been installed.

I usually buy parts from Germany and a oem pair without bulb fitting was ~220€ plus shipping.
Don't know what you paid for the Depo ones
I bought the cheap ones, and regret it know

Found a page that claims they should be torqued down to 22/24 ft/lbThat's good to hear as I'm about to split mine to have a go at repolishing the lips.
