What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Fitted 034Motorsport engine mounts, serviced it, alternator belt and tensioner, fitted a yellow spring and serviced the Forge DV, feels like new

I did ask a wheel refurbishment company after I thought their quote was a bit on the high side, but they declined to email me back.

Don't bother with that , buy some 600 and 1500 grit wet and dry. Wet sand the hell out of them, then aerosol laquer over that. Like new, I do it do a living, takes 30 mins to do both!

Thanks a lot for the advice! Will do!

I may come back for pointers if that ok as Ive seen a few on Youtube.

Over the weekend i tried the baking soda toothpaste route and to be quite honest, it left the headlight VERY cloudy so had to buff the hell out of it.

It does seem the only route is different levels of Wet/Dry sanding before clear coating.

Dan.

Today I replaced lower front arms drop links and front anti roll bar bushes all were mentioned on my mot last week end as looking pretty worn and they were !!!!

I need to do this too haven't tackled anything 'major' yet in terms of mechanical work on my b6 avant. *looks for diy guide*

Changed all disks and pads, in the process of putting in new glow plugs, five have come out, the hardest one to access is the one closest to the turbo.
Also broke the card/coin tray front trying to open it, been jammed for two years!

Took both rear lights, baked them in the oven, and sealed them with silicone.. Hopefully no more misting in the clear area...

Managed to get 75miles on the trip before the petrol gauge moved! That's a first in the S4, although I did spend 15 minutes getting it filled to the brim after the pump had clicked to say it was full LOL

Oh update on above post.
Fitted, removed then returned to German and Sweedish in record time, the fit was awful. When I ordered them the sales plank said they were made by the same people (VALEO I guess) , no they were made by Depo, I did say when they delivers them i expect you will be getting them back but was willing to try also I didn't like having to fight with the bulb holder to try and get it to fit. I've just ordered two from TPS now.

back in the garage today for inner rack end and 2 new track rod ends as was noted on my mot that boots were shagged only fitted them for last mot checked my receipts 4 days over the warrentee :( all done in an hour inc tracking drives super clean now :)

If the ones misting are original, why not just do as I did?? Bake them in the oven for 20-30 min at 70-100 Celsius, then put some silicone sealant all around? It doesn't show if you use clear silicone and wipe excess off

Always done new for old when components break down.
Then you need to buy oem ones at VW/Audi
I usually buy parts from Germany and a oem pair without bulb fitting was ~220€ plus shipping.
Don't know what you paid for the Depo ones

I bought the cheap ones, and regret it know

That's why new ones were ordered from TPS £77 each, Depo ones were £95 the pair, like I said in my post I only ordered the ones from German and Sweedish as the bell end behind the counter said they were VALEO ones.

Didn't work

My 12" explod sub was about 12 years old and was starting to sound a bit weak and flappy so did a sub swap to a nice new 12" kenwood. Matches my kenwood head unit now

We passed by each other and the red votex kit caught my eye.....very nice.

I have a soft spot for a red Audi, but love my Akoya silver.

On a side note he got a wash and wax, and cleaned the leather
