Clock change

I should add it's a retrofit 3G+ into a 2010 A5 pre-facelift. I don't have DAB either if that makes any difference?

Did you manage to find anything?
Just done a little more digging and it would seem that every reference says to set your time source to "GPS" and then set Auto Daylight Savings Time to "On" via settings in the MMI. As you stated that you retrofitted the MMI 3G+ and don't seem to have these options available it could be that the Menu's / the MMI unit has not been fully coded... maybe.

I have not completed any works on an A5 as yet but if you send over your adaptation maps I would be more than happy to have a look through them to see whats possible:

alexvcds@icloud.com

  1. 5F - Information Elect.
  2. Adaptatopm - 10
  3. Channel = Summertime automatic
  4. Enter New Value
Possible Values:
  • None
  • Manual
  • Europe (Automatic)
  • USA
  • Automatic (Does not work - Request out of Range error)
*Audi UK Default = Manual

Hi Alex, I did this coding to a 65 plate car yesterday and the line it added to the MMI was something like "Manual time zone change " so it read like this needs to be off rather than on for Auto time change to work. Have you seen this before ?

Cheers ;o)

Not seen that before, but from your reported wording it seems that you need to set it as "off" :/ Being a 65 plate, did you happen to notice if the installed MMI was a newer unit?

I've did the VCDS mod on my A3 and changed it from Manual to Europe(Automatic). When I looked today it was still the hour out. I opened up TIME on the MMI and ticked the setting Automatic summer time and it changed to the correct time.

I did this also and it changed instantly...can't recall doing it last year!

That's two things now since the service...this one and the fact that DAB now works perfectly even with both electric sockets in use!!! Wonder if there was an MMI update done when they did the service.

May be but the last time my A3 was at a dealers was 2 July 2015 having a problem with noise from the drivers door sorted. The last time it was actually services was on 1 June 2015 a 18,150 miles.

As I was sure it changed by itself last time round, but wasn't sure as I really can't remember, I was happy to see it has changed by itself again :) I knew this car was better than my bedroom alarm clock ;)
