I have a 2.0 TDI 140 BKD which I had taken to AMD for a remap to find that it was overboosting so I took the turbo off and had it taken apart and cleaned which came to no avail. Had the N75 checked by taking one off a car that we knew worked and that didn't make a difference either, turns out someone had completely adjusted the Actuator all the way one way which made it overboost like crazy.

Just received vcds so i decided to do a few runs after getting the car back and got this

Not sure if i done this right if not let me know.
Turbo

Does that look okay or needing some more adjustment?

Also it is idling pretty bad and was looking at this
16:11:56 Group 004: Pump-Jet Valves
819 /min Engine Speed (G28)
0.0 °BTDC Injection Start (specified)
6.6°KW Injection Duration (specified)
-2.9°KW Torsion Value

16:11:56 Group 015: Fuel Consumption
819 /min Engine Speed (G28)
31.7 Nm Engine Torque
0.60 l/h Fuel Consumption
0.0 Nm Torque Request (Driver)

RPM fluctuates from 819 to 840 and the Torsion Value seems well out and I know that cause the ruff idle but would it affect the engine performance at all?

Cam timing in a diesel has a very big affect on performance. I would adjust it closer to zero for better running and starting.
The boost control looks reasonable, hard to tell from that graph but looks like the boost is a little low before it spools. What gear was that done in ?.
Sounds like somebody who hasn't a clue what they were doing has been messing with the car.

I agree that it was someone who knows nothing about the car that messed with it.

Ignore from 0-15 on the bottom of the graph as that was pulling out of the driveway and pulling over to give me some room.
It was done in 2nd gear from literally the point just before it would stall then foot to the floor upto 4k rpm

Trying to think of a road around my area that will allow for a 4k+ rpm 3rd/4th without an issues lol.

Boost log shouldn't be done in 2nd gear :( Graph looks ok for this gear, things go so fast ECU can't react fastly and boost spike occurs :)
Try at least 3th, or best 4th gear. 1400 to 4500+rpm. Then watch graph and adjust VNT accordingly.

Yeah I've been trying to think of somewhere to take the car to be able to do this - I live in London so 30mph limits everywhere, took the car to a private road for this log but no where long enough for 4k+ rpm in 3rd.

I am going to try and get to a motorway or even leave it for now as it doesn't seem to overboost as bad as the previous graphs and get a mapping company to sort it as I've already narrowed it down to being purely the VNT actuator.

-2.9°KW Torsion Value should be 0.00 get that sorted first

Am currently looking at doing the torque value but the weather makes it so much harder!

Took it to a VAG Specialist in my area that I never knew was there and he told me my Torsion value was due to my over boost, if not it's the timing belt.
I like money hungry company's they amuse me. Wanted me to buy a turbo off of them and if that didn't fix it then diagnosis for the hoses etc then timing belt after all of that :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
Refused to adjust it manually only wanted to do all of the above.
Guess I'll be waiting for a nice day to sort it myself :blacksunrays:

That sounds bad. The turbo sounds like it's OK just needs setting up correctly. The timing needs adjusting correctly. This is not affected by the boost or non boost of the engine the timing value is at idle. It does vary as the engine is revved but shouldn't vary a lot from the idle value.

I know that, the vag specialist thought he was just talking to another normal customer that will pay for anything they say.
I will get it sorted myself or take it to my usual vag specialist.
I only went there as I was talking to a friend in a tinting shop and it's a pain to turn around so I used his garage and as I pulled out I saw his sign thought I'd ask
