Hi Phil, I got quotes from both orange wheels and carwow and went with the latter as they got the best deal. In principle they are taking advantage of what is effectively 'group buy' in order to obtain the same discounted price that fleet buyers get. As DrE stated, once you agree an offer you then just make arrangements with the dealer as if you were any other buyer, but you haven't had to negotiate the discount yourself. I discussed the concept with my salesman and he said that in theory a buyer can end up having to talk to the fleet department at the dealer, and possibly get a 'reduced' service as a consequence. He said that his dealership do not do that, and from what I have read no-one has reported any issues. There are a few things you need to be aware of:
1) The best discount might come from a dealer quite a distance away from you.
2) The offer from the online broker is not contractual - you still need to make an agreement with the dealer so if there is a change - tough
3) Check the details carefully - sometimes the websites make pricing mistakes (see #2)
4) The discount is usually a composite of 'dealer contribution' and 'finance contribution'
5) It is possible to get the finance contribution and then withdraw from the agreement (right to cancel) and keep the discount
