Thought I'd post it here as don't use the detailing forum.

In Costco 36 x ultra plush microfiber towels for £10.78 (inc vat) 40.6cm x 40.6cm.

Do try them with the "CD Test" - get an old (but not scratched) CD and rub vigorously and see if they scratch the surface. If they do then they're fine for the wheels but NOT your beloved paintwork . I always test microfibre cloths like this just in case .....

That's a good tip, but I have used them before and they are OK...at that price use them once and bin them :)

They're good microfibres and a good size

You should never apply much pressure when using a drying cloth anyway. Certainly would never rub my paintwork vigorously.

Of course - the purpose of "rubbing vigorously" is to see if they scratch the CD NOT the paintwork!

I saw the thread title and though it was somebody asking about microfibers, was going to suggest the Costco one's myself lol. For the price you can't beat them. I used them to buff off polish and wax on Friday and they did the job well without leaving any scratches. Plus once they're no longer any good for buffing they're great for wheels and door shuts. Not tried it myself but I think they would also work well for drying but used slightly damp the same way you would use a chammy.

I find them fine. And as someone else has said - so cheap you can afford to chuck them as soon as they look a bit past it.

I use one for washing and then drying and it works well.

Out of interest, any recomendations for which detergent to use to wash clothes? Doesn't have to be these ones in particular.
