I had the dreaded oil consumption issue on my 2010 2.0 tfsi, luckily all the work to sort it was paid by Audi.

I still check the mmi out of habit to check the oil consumption and it had not moved until today when I checked it and it has gone down one Segment. I had done 1300 miles before it moved, is this normal usage or should I be concerned?

Before I would have had to put in over 3 litres in by now!

Before. You will probably get 10k before you need a top up. I would be happy at that considering the petrol audis do use a bit of oil.
Thanks.

Monitor the consumption, raise your concern with audi again, so its on record mate, then see after say 3-4 months how it goes.

Will do, would you expect a basically new engine to use a bit more oil during a running in period?

It would be good to hear from other owners who have had the work done.

Audi explained to me to expect a slight drop in oil as the new parts bed in - perfectly normal and to be expected.

And sure enough, mine dropped one segment after 900 or so miles!! Topped it up with the one litre Audi provided and its not moved since.

Don't worry about it.

Thanks big bird!

My MMI oil level goes up and down by about 20% pretty randomly. Only if it drops below half way will I worry, plus I splashed out on dipstick as a backup.
