Lastnight some low life scum came in my house and took keys to my S4 and the wife's zafira whilst we was in the kitchen, they took the S4 and abandoned it the other side of town, luckily it's trackered up so was found very quickly unmarked, but they still have keys for it.

I have VCDS, can I remove the fob off the system so it won't open the car etc?
If so how do I go about it, I'm going to replace the ignition and other locks to be 100% sure it can't be taken with the key, but until the parts come I want to wipe that key off..

Yes you need to wipe all keys & then add new ones, however, that wont do immo, only remote functions, so they could still break a window & drive of, so take to the dealer & get the key resynced to immo which removes anyother keys from the system that the tea leaf may have.

As I understand it you can't pick and choose which key you remove, you remove them all and then recode the remaining. Problem is you need the pin for the car to recode keys and that's not readily available through VCDS.
Easiest would be a trip to an Audi dealer, a specialist that's on the Audi network or contact Craigynett on here to see if he's in your area soon.

Craigynett isn't a sponsor, so unfortunately he cant offer services via the forum.

So basically I can wipe both the keys off and then re add the one I have got?

Yes for remote functions but not immo.

Spose it's better than nothing, will ring Audi up and get it booked in. I get it back from recovery firm tomorrow after police have finger printed it

Got my car back from the recovery firm, bast**ds have took my owners wallet with all my service history in and receipts for work I've had done to the car!!! Fuming

Very annoying i know, but you did leave the records in the car ready for the taking, sorry for being the one to say it.
