Hi,

My drivers door speakeer wasn't working so after some investigation I found a broken wire between the door and the car body held within the rubber boot. Anyway I managed to unconnect the harness from the body of the car and fix the wire, wahay the speaker is now working.

The problem is now the airbag light is illuminated and also the drivers window will only go down if you keep the swicthed pressed down rather then push once to open fully.

I'm hoping these issues are easily fixed via VCDS to reset something??? Does anyone have an idea or experience about this or is anywhere near Swindon to help with a scan?

Many thanks in advance

Andy

Maybe something has been slightly disconnected when you've been working... Try a vcds reset for the airbag light and if it comes beack you know you have a loose connection somewhere...

Window... Put it all the way up... Pull and hold the switch (as if you are putting it up) and hold it for 5/10 secs and this should train the windows and should be fine...

S3_Jacko, brilliant......

Thank you so much, window is sorted!!! Just got to sort the airbag light now, luckily it went through the MOT Wednesday so I have a bit of time, although it's already annoying me lol

Really thanks a lot ;)

Did you shove your seat back when messing about with the door loom so you could get in better ? as it might have broke the seat loom as that is pretty common

IIRC if you took the glovebox out (disconnected it), it needs a reset as it detects a fault in the airbag switch circuit - it doesn't automatically clear when reconnected so needs a VCDS reset.
