Xenon HID conversion Kit

1) Use the search - there are about 8 trillion threads about HID kits
2) These really blue ones are dazzling and inconsiderate and look really chav.
3) The only proper way to do this is fit OEM (entire light units and associated stuff - I understand forum sponsor NHN on here can do this work)
4) You risk burning out your wiper motor (do a search)
5) Canbus is the system that (amongst other things) monitors the power being drawn by bulbs - since these behave differently and have a different current draw to standard H7s, you may get a bulb out warning with them.
6) Anyone who claims they can't see with the standard lights needs to get to Specsavers urgently.

Good advice already given mate, HIDS are a no go, they will blow your wiper motor, and blind other incoming traffic. Best way is OEM route.

There's two type of Xenons, 1st is single xenon which are plug and play with coding but only you dipped beam are xenon and high beam halogen.

2nd are bi-Xenons which are dipped and high beam Xenons, also have halogen DRLs which can be changed to LEDs'. These headlights are the ones which are fitted to 2006-2008 S3's. But these require a re-wire if your headlight plug and VCDS coding of which I can advise you on or do myself give me a shout.

Hiya mate,
can you help at all, just fitted an hid kit from hids 4u and now i have no front wipers....
whats the poss cause of this...???

What has happened is exactly what me and John said about the HIDS blowing your wiper motor, this is why we advised against it as they always blow them. Now you need a new wiper motor and need to get rid of the HIDS soon as.

Best way is OEM route, costs more but you get what you pay for, but cheap buy twice comes to mind.

because you fitted hids, you now need to repair or replace the wiper motor and buy a wiper friendly HID kit or stick your halogens back in
