This is my first time on any forum and also my first post so please bear with me.

I recently bought my wife an audi A3 8P 2010 plate (first audi in the family) and I have been having some problems with MKII RNS-E (193 G I think) as I found out it was retrofitted and the seller didn't do a very good job of getting everything to work. The factory fitted aux beside the handbrake didn't appear on RNS-E.

Nevertheless, I did some research and found that I have to do some VCDS (bought from Marshall Industrial - Ross tech distributor) coding to get it up on the unit, which I did (used VCDS for the first time). Although I managed to get the aux option on the unit, there was no sound from the aux.

Then I did some more research and found out that I have to buy a 32pin adapter (already bought it), pull the RNS-E unit out (bought keys to do so) and do some wiring (bought repair wires too).

Now this is where the confusion starts. Most forums talk about retrofitting from symphonyII or ConcertII to RNS-E and mention moving or connecting 3 wires from the unit into the 32pin adaptor I THINK but I haven't found one where someone had a RNS-E not retrofitted properly and then had to connect the existing aux port to it.

How may I go about it?
Is it just a matter of moving wires around or connecting new ones?
If so, which ones? I'm not great with wiring diagrams.

Sorry guys if this seems like a lengthy essay, it's my first time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Aux problem SOLVED. thanks to Jameze (James) for pointing me to the right forum and Jb0o for writing instructions for the exact swap for aux wires and earth wire for Bose.

Much appreciated. Now I am a happy man with a happy wife = happy life lol :)
