So, the inlet manifold on my A4 was looking rather dirty so I thought i'd pressure wash it as I've done it before and it brings aluminium up really well......turns out its not aluminium after all, just plastic painted silver :( ended up with some of the paint coming off.

But now I've given it a lick Of bright silver and I'm really pleased with the result :)

Just need to find a front engine cover now.......
.....don't suppose anyone's got one lying around ? :)

It would be a lot more from TPS or a main dealer.

Look for a car being broken and make an offer

Phoned audi dealers yesterday. The missing engine cover is only £16 so I've ordered one. Ordered a new battery cover too for £6, Bargain!

Cheap..........cant be a hugh cover like I was thinking then to be that cheap.

Post pics and part numbers for others

Battery cover 8E2 819 422 A01C was £5.81+ vat

Engine cover 06C 103 927 D was £15.60 + vat

Some prices on Ebay for genuine VAG parts are ridiculous. I always check with TPS as usually they're way cheaper. Bought a plenum chamber cover from TPS for under £20 a while back, on Ebay some sellers were charging £50!!!

Didn't realise they were that cheap as my battery cover is broken and doesn't clip inplace.

People are paying £25 on eBay for the battery cover.
There's also one of the front engine covers on there for £65!
