Am new to the satnav and have searched and cant seem to find what I am looking for so here it goes. I originally had the concert boring stereo and now have the nav with the gloss black screen. Everything seems to work fine (mfbsw, bluetooth speakers)

Firstly do I need to code it to the car? The spec I have is mfbsw, bluetooth, bose, cd changer

How do I get the s3 start up logo?

How can I make it show the rear parking sensors on screen?

How can I make it so a film plays without the handbrake on?

How can i get freeview?

Are they any other good options I should know about? I turned the gala off as it sounded crap

thanks

yes with vcds

How do I get the s3 start up logo?

again with vcds

How can I make it show the rear parking sensors on screen?

only if you have OEM factory fitted sensors with a new-enough module which supports pdc display

How can I make it so a film plays without the handbrake on?

vim hack with vcds

How can i get freeview?

by adding a rnse free view module

Are they any other good options I should know about? I turned the gala off as it sounded crap

thanks

Question. I have OEM rear parking sensors, but nothing is shown on the RNSE when I select reverse, I have quizzed AICT about their optical parking kit and James was concerned that I don't have the display. I have a new car, so everything should be latest revisions. Should I be able to display the rear parking data?

I have 2007 s3 would mine display the parking sensors? And also i have tried DVDs in my nav before and they don't play??? Is there something I have to do to make this work? I have the newer nav with gloss black screen. Thanks

Hey ho. Nevermind.

Hey ho. Nevermind.

You have a brand new car and I assume you have a factory fitted RNSE and factory fitted sensors ?

If the sensors should show on the screen, and they don't, is this not a problem that Audi should sort out for you ?

Or have I missed something (probably !! ) ?

FWIW - I have a 2012 Black Edition with factory parking sensors. I had a Mk2 RNSe retrofitted and coded by a competent installer who asked me if I wanted the S3 logo or the standard Audi logo showing on start up. They also mentioned the Parker sensor screen and coded it for this option. However it did not work. Something to do with which module of parking sensors or something.

Okay. Just spent 6 and a half hours in it today driving to Aberdeen.

Bose sounded great on the way up and upgraded footwell lights looked good in the dark. Very pleased indeed

Fixed your prang yet ?

yep its all good

the Bose is now working a treat :yahoo:

Sorry to the OP. but when you have had the problems we have had with retrofit RNSe you will understand. Poor radio, crap sound, volume up and down. Parking sensors will be the least of your worries !

changed the wires into the correct locations. sounds great
looking to possibly drop it a tad more in the new year (maybe)

aberdeen, that's a long drive. how many miles you clocked up?
