Advice please, bleeding clutch

hi all, ive just changed the brake pads on my 1999 s3 because the where spongy, ive bleed them with an ezzibleed kit, but there not much better, im going to bleed the master cyelinder now and the brakes again to see if the get any better. the question is will i need to bleed the clutch aswell???, if so, why will i need to? the clutch feels ok.. thanks in advance...,.

The clutch and brakes are both fed from the master cylinder. When I bleed the system I do it in the following order:

Rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver, clutch, then lastly both bleed nipples on the master cylinder.

Do a search on here as this has been covered loads of times.

hi thanks for repaly, so do the clutch aswell them?? even thow the clutch feels fine? thanks

That's what I would do if I had the same issue. It's not difficult to do and will eliminate that from the equation if the problem still exists afterwards.

Did you just change the pads and not the discs?.
If so thats probly why they are spongy,untill the pads bed into the lipped discs.

hi m8, the brakes where spongy b4 i changed the pads, thats why i changed the pads to see if it would help. i just wanted to no if i need to bleed the clutch aswell as the brakes? thanks

You shouldnt have to.
Unless you emptied the resevoir and introduced air.

But as i said, you'll struggle to get a solid pedal with new pads on lipped discs.
