Thermostat is still not opening even when trying to vacuum bleed the system. Mechanic is suggesting the 'oil cooler collecter' could have a crack in it... Any ideas?

Not after a switched live for any reason. Just concerned about leaving a charger or something in the 12 v and it killing the battery

Is there anyway to stop the 12v cigarette lighter from being permanently live? Would rather it only come on with the ignition. Thanks

I've just bought a 2004 A3 and was driving fine all day today. Pulled up tonight as it started raining and the radiator fan would not turn off at all. Had to pull the battery lead for it to stop running at full speed. The fan was still running full speed 10 minutes after turning the car off...
