Yeah if I push it back I can hear it click and I cannot move it with my hands. I suspect the rattle might be in bouncing up and down rather than back and forward.
owned my Audi A3 since March and love it so far. The only issue I have is there is a rattle coming from the drivers side rear seat. When the back of the seat is up and in the correct position there is a rattle sound when going over bumps etc. if I drop it forward then the rattle stops.

Hi all. I've owned my a3 for a month now and put on 1500 miles on it. Today I got in the car and within 5 minutes I realized that the engine was always idling at 1k rpm. Also the stop start was not engaging. It made the car horrible to drive. Pull away was jerky and coming up to a junction...
Reading the Manual. There are 2 different types of buttons that can be in the car. A pic of a window or a pic of a child. The window does just the Windows where as the child does the doors and windows.
Wonder if you can reprogram it using vcds to swap em over.
On my A3 the buttons on the drivers side door prevent the kids from opening their doors and also their windows. Does anyone know if its possible to re-code it with VCDS to only lock the windows. The kids are old enough to open the doors but want to stop them sometimes from opening the windows...
I would never buy gap insurance from Audi direct. It's a rip off. They are actually not allowed to sell it to you on day one due to changes last year. They was no competition and people were paying over the odds. Hence why they have brought in these new rules...
