    Android auto Drop outs

I tried a new cable with it yesterday following lots of people saying its sensitive to this. I experienced no drop outs so fingers crossed that may have fixed it but will see how I get on in the next few days. The cable I tried was an Anker powerline+ £8 from amazon.

    Android auto Drop outs

Thanks for the replies. It seems that its not just me then. I've not noticed any change due to an update it has done it since I got the car in April. I think I will try a fresh install but not holding out much hope.

    Android auto Drop outs

Good evening, I am just back from my summer holidays and have spent a couple of weeks driving my 2018 A4. I have found that it keeps dropping the Android Auto connection frequently which means listening to Spotify or using Google maps is impossible. I noticed it seems to be in areas where the...

Has anyone got a dash cam?

Many thanks for the info. Much appreciated. My only issue with the Garmin is that it seems quite expensive especially if I, like you, decided not to use many of the advanced features. In the end today I purchase an Anker C1 pro from Amazon. It was almost half the price and so I the end I went...

Has anyone got a dash cam?

That looks very neat. Think I will purchase a Garmin 55 this week as it looks to be very small and discrete. How have you found it to use and have you found it an issue not being able to see the screen? I am thinking of hardwiring it - was wondering whether you did this and if so what wiring kit...

    Blackvue dr650s-2ch dash cam installed.

Thanks a lot for the help. Had a look this afternoon and found the other fuse box at end of dash. I hadn't realised it was there yesterday.

    Blackvue dr650s-2ch dash cam installed.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I am looking to hardwire a dashcam and had a look around car today to find fuses etc. One thing I didn't see near the fuse box was a good earth point. Can anyone advise what they have used when doing installs? Many thanks.

New Owner - Struggling with Tech

All fixed. Ended up changing the name of the wi fi network and changed password seemed to fix it. I am not sure why but I am not going to worry about it. First time I am taking whole family out in it tomorrow so we will give it a go. Thanks for help.

Black Edition 1.4 TFSI or 2.0 TFSI

I have had my 1.4 Stronic for a few days and was also a bit worried before I got it coming from a 2 litre diesel. I have though been really pleased and surprised at how good it feels. So smooth and performance is fine for me for everyday driving.

New Owner - Struggling with Tech

Many thanks that is great. I am going to go and try again. I think I did this yesterday but will have another go. So do you not think its anything to do with the apps being installed or not?

New Owner - Struggling with Tech

Yes have been putting the wi fi password in. I changed it to something I can remember so I know it's correct. Car does have embedded sim as far as I could tell by inserting my own sim it means everything goes through it rather than the embedded sim.

New Owner - Struggling with Tech

Cheers for your quick reply. Just tried it and getting the same problem! The thing with the Apps is they keep throwing up random messages and seem to want to run in the background the whole time eating up battery etc.

New Owner - Struggling with Tech

Hi all, I took delivery of a very nice 18 plate 1.4 Sline Stronic this week without the tech pack. Over the moon with the car its really relaxing to drive and feels fantastic inside. It's my first new car for over 5 years so the tech has moved on a lot in that time. At first I was up for the...
