I got someone to push down on the bonnet. This takes the pressure off the un lubriacted catch.
Then I wiggled the release handle until they felt the click and it popped up how it would usually.
I had to replace the catch on my mk5. That was only 30 quid or so..
I just googled the locking ring to find the answer and found this thread. Has anyone found out weather this is safe to do? Or is anyone doing this?
I think it would only give 5mm extra drop but it would be worth it if it is safe..
Lads, how do you remove this Bpillar? It appears to only have 2 plastic rivets on my 3door under the door rubber.. but I dont want to break them to get it off really..
Good plan gents! :)
Tdi-man they to my knowledge 15-20mm lower than standard ones as they are from the GT.
But wont fit a MK4 anyway im afraid as the strut tops are different.

I also have the bug to change my 105pd 8P. Anything wuth a vw or audi badge grabs my eye..
But I keep thinking ive done so much work on it and it so personalised and mine. In some respects it would be stupid to get rid just cos I want a change.
Other option is garaging it and then getting a...
I am running my second set of diamond vision bulbs, never had any unwanted attention.
They look great but dont seem too much brighter than road legal ones. Its just the colour is better in my eyes, less of the yellowyness :)
Didnt realize LED side lights were illegal/MOT failure though..
I recently had this problem, at first with a bulge in a tyre, and then with missing ballancing weights on one side of the wheel.
Sounds steriotypical to be more noticable between 50 and 70 as well so i would strongly suggest that, likely that google would confirm as well man.
Take your care to...
