RS3 UK Pricing and Specifications

if..... and I mean.... IF.... the DCC is correct visually, the carbon does have the Sports exhaust. You can spec a standard car without it and the exhaust is silver, but black on the Carbon
Is it just black though (and not actual sports exhaust) because everything on the carbon black is black or carbon?

there is no other evidence you would get black exhaust tips other than with sports exhaust (but again, our minds could be getting messed with)

but... but... that steering wheel though

the shame

this looks like it - straight out of a Q3 / A4

where is the bespoke alcantara wheel from the last RS3 / other RS cars

even the RSQ3 gets a hybrid wheel that doesn't look as bad and is at least wrapped in alcantara

it will be available on the facelift in 20 months time, just as pre-facelift cars make it out to customers ordered Aug 2021 lmao

I am sure plenty will come FL, and probably not the usual timescales for FL if they are trying to maximise ahead of milk float only.

Some won’t want to wait hence my comment

what exactly does a 360 degree camera offer in terms of usable difference over the regular camera.
I use reverse camera for parking up close to objects behind but thats it.
Can't think what use a 360 deg camera would be to me ?

Main benefit is you don't accidentally curb your alloys!

question: is the HUD actually available - is it part of the vorsprung spec - this could turn me............

This might help answer your question. Originally wasn’t on my list of preferred options but it was on the car when I got it. Since I statered using it and found out what it car do it’s surprisingly useful especially no 6 and 7 if your worried about damaging your alloys.

it can also be pretty useful when reversing out of blind spots, say in a car park as it allows you to see (allbeit limited) stuff that you would not normally be able to

it was definitely listed as standard kit on the 'launch edition' and if the vorpsprung is kit over and above 'launch' (which I believe it is) then yes HUD is included with vorsprung ... along with that extra material on the ROUND steering wheel :tearsofjoy:

that is actually quite useful cheers - would you say it would be handy for gauging driving the car into a garage door opening ?

this could well finalise my decision, as with vorsprung I could order Nogaro paint and still be less than the Carbon spec one ................. but... but... the steer (get your mind off it cat!)

Definitely- also particularly useful to ensure the car is sufficiently in to enable to close the door if it’s a tight fit!

Thank you - well that has turned me around on that completely then :icon thumright:
My garage opening is tight so I always get out to check I have adequate clearance before driving in - sounds like 360 cam would sort that for me.

sorry one more question :)
I see you have HUD on your S5 - how do you find that ?
As odd as this may sound, I wondered if it might annoy me (being in my line of vision) I always have to have a perfectly clean windscreen for this reason.
What is your real world conclusion on HUD ?

I have HUD on my MK8R and I really like it although I did have it on a previous BMW so I knew what it was like. You do tend to stop looking down at the dash as often so arguably it's a bit safer as you more likely to be looking ahead but you can turn it off if you really don't get on with it. That BMW also had surround view and it's the one parking aid I think is absolutely worthwhile and would definitely spec it if I had the choice.

I find that pretty useful too, and would certainly go for it again . it displays a variety of stuff and depending on what you want it’s can be easier to use than the virtual cockpit and whilst it might sound strange but you don’t actually notice it when you are driving unless you look for it as it sits towards the bottom the screen (it’s position can be adjusted).

here another vid which shows what it’s like

It gives a virtual view from above doesn't it? Or at least that is what other ones do
Yep it does that but don’t think the guy in the video had worked out it did that too:glee:

I’m just pi55ed with Audi that I doubt I’ll get one now. No alcantara wheel either. Being forced to have the £5k RS Pack if you want the sports exhaust. All a nonsense. It’s the principle of it all.

Let’s see tomorrow; I am sure quite a few of us will be in the dealer tomorrow myself included; and if I can get a deal I will be ordering one tomorrow and maybe making a video…

Reality is these cars are gonna sell themselves, primarily because trades are gonna pick them up in order to resell the slots or the cars once delivered. I know of 4 companies who already have multiple orders on the books with their local dealers. Audi have no reason to offer any discounts.

Yup.
Like with the 8V’s some car sales places thought they would make quick money by adding 5K to them.
What’s the betting in Dec we will see fully specced cars up for 70k plus popping up online.

Yes, remember an advert from a “performance” car dealer, had a white, blue and black 8R, all three similar spec and fair amount over list, go figure…they were new

I'd rather wait than pay over the odd to a greedy performance car garage . Bet a certain garage in Huddersfield as a few on order by the end of the week
