Car Mods in Germany....

Car impounded because of spacers!!

I wonder if this is widespread in Germany, or really just this one city specifically :wtf:

From another forum, where a similar discussion is ongoing.....

Seems in Germany any car modification (including spacers) requires a TÜV inspection to certify that the safety of the car has not been compromised. (Something to do with 200mph plus speeds on the Autobahn’s!)

Modification, without TÜV can lead to car being impounded, pending new TÜV.....

Also parts fitted to the car have to be TUV approved as well, you cannot just chuck any old rubbish on a car, shame we don't have the same sort of rules over here, would stop some of the silly & dangerous modifications that owners think it look "cool".
