Hi guys.
I have been getting more and more into detailing and cleaning my car the correct way over the past year or so.
I have a snow foam Lance etc and use the 2 bucket method along with hp neutral shampoo and bsd quick detailer.

Problem I have now is my rear bumper has some surface scratches from the dogs claws and I'm unsure of the best way to polish them out.
I don't have a machine polisher so will be by hand.
Could anyone recommend a good polish to hopefully buff these out?
Thanks in advance

hi there can you feel the scratch with your nail if so its a bit more work
or if you spray water on them do they disappear if they do disappear you can try using a magic sponge just be very gentle with it as can be a little aggressive I have used the magic sponge to remove scratches that disappear when wet and then reappear when dry as for scratches you can feel with your nail I had to use a compound with a da might be possible by hand but will be a lot of hard work and time consuming I tend to use meguiars products but it's all down to individuality.

They are not deep at all. Can't feel with nail.
And yes they disappear when wet.
I'm just looking for a decent polish I think which when worked in by hand will take these scratches out and then I can wax after that to protect

If you buy a scratch removal polish, to start with go very light in pressure over the area wipe off then inspect etc etc repeat till there gone, also use a microfibre pad as they offer more abrasion over a sponge applicator, finish it off with a wax or whatever you use

I'm worried I will do more harm than good.
Is this something that can be achieved by hand easily enough?

It'll be a doddle mate just apply the polish via the pad crosshatch style ie left to right, up and down, then use a circular motion, then buff off inspect and if the scratches are still visible, repeat with a bit more pressure on the pad, don't worry you'll do a good job but to safeguard you messing up buy some Sonax profiline perfect finish is cuts then polishes i have used this by hand and it's ****** brilliant even with a microfibre pad

Chemical guys V04 usually gets me out of trouble with things like that. Can be used by hand but a DA is better with it
