What Detailing / Car Care Products Have You Bought / Ordered Today?

Been using CG New Car Smell air freshener for the last couple of years (2+) and really like it. Off course I am on my third bottle as few of my mates have taken their share from the bottles as well

stupid question, but how do you use these? Is it a case of spraying a bit in car after clean?

Time to tackle my cruddy pipes - car doesn’t look properly clean with dirty a-holes

Tbh, given the reviews I bought one a few months ago I was really disappointed with Autosol. I have used it only three times and decided not to anymore. I tried both if them recently on the S4s tips and Autoglym managed to clean the tips better than Autosol including the shine. Autosol required a lot more elbow grease and the results were sub-par

Yes. Few sprays under the seats and occasionally in the vents.

I was actually considering new tail pipes as they were so crappy. Then someone on here suggested spraying them with WD40, leave a while to soak in. Then apply Autosol , work in with wire wool. Apply some more Autosol, leave a while longer and then buff with MF.... Viola.... Tailpipes like new.

Folks, need some suggestions. Planning on re-correcting minor swirls on the A3 so will be using combination of products between Scholl S20, S40 and Sonax Profline along with CH HL Green and White pads.

I am after a cleanser fluid after the above and before I apply sealent and wax the car and can't decide between:

- BH Cleanser Fluid, and
- CarPro Eraser

Which one would you guys recommend between the both?

think both would be pretty good, like their other products but I have gtechnic panel wipe, which has done the job for me, admittedly I have only done door shuts after mini da polish ahead of ceramic

Cheers @q5man and @jassyo06. I already Gtechniq Panel Wipe but now looking at stripping off everything (all 13/14 layers of waxes/polishes etc).

Also, have you tried Gtechniq C6 -Matte Dash, is it any good?

See you picked up some Gyeon leather cleanser @jassyo06 - have you tried/would you also recommend their leather sealant?

Need to decide on either these Gyeon products or Dodo Juice Supernatural leather cleaner and sealant and place an order this evening.

Thoughts?

I've used Dodo Juice Leather Cleaner and Sealent and really like it. Pics FYI

**** av used it 5 minutes ago lol for the first time mate and to perfectly honest it does clean very well but spraying it on to the leather can get a messy ie over spray on the centre consul etc etc, l used a brush along with it and it doesn't foam that's something i like as the dirt is gathered up in the suds then it's just a wipe off, l then tried spraying it on to a damp cloth, got better results but a cloth doesn't remove all the grime/oils off the leather in my opinion especially on a steering wheel, l still recommend my fave and that's valet pro leather soap it's the best l have used and the best to work with, colour lock came very close to it but it doesn't leave that new oem matte look
Combine valet pro leather soap and colourlock leather shield =this is a ant friction Sealant
Is my perfect leather cleaning kit

Chemical guys do a shampoo that'll strip off all your layers, clean slate as it's known

Panel will do the job but you'll use more of it than you would bilt hamber so not as effective or as economic as bilt hamber cleansing fluid

Ha! Big Brother is watching you @jassyo06 ! Thank you both for the recommendations - appreciate it gentlemen. The missus had some ***** telly to catch-up on tonight, which gave me a good excuse to get an order in for some new stuff....

****** pain to find somewhere that stocked everything I wanted in 1 order and with a discount code, but managed it in the end. Had to order Colourlock Leather Shield off flea bay separately.

And before you ask @jassyo06, yes I did order some Fireball tyre shine just a couple of weeks ago - but made the mistake of taking the nozzle off to have a sniff, left it on the drive while I went to make a cuppa, and next door’s cat kicked it over and spilt the lot on my drive :smilingimp:. Next door’s cat will soon be my next pair of slippers.

Here's one for ya at last Saturdays car wash day l decided to use BH auto wheels now l carefully sprayed it on to one of my alloys... Etc etc only one tiny spot of fallout was revealed l kind of knew this as l ain't a heavy on the brakes person hence l never buy wheel cleaners, but l used the next door neighbours vx Astra for the test, his alloys are bright silver painted things that hadn't been cleaned properly since it was new my god what ja ob BH wheel cleaner done and l had only blasted them with a pressure washer prior to spraying lol l can see why this product is popular but l always keep my alloys in tip top condition besides l think it's ****** expensive, it's for peeps who hate spending time washing alloys

Tip hold the leather brush under the hot water tap for a couple of seconds.... Get to the car and apply the soap to the brush and clean away then buff off with a largish cloth, same goes with the steering wheel but cover over the dashboard with a large towel or something prior to cleaning .... Product does flick off the leather brush

I usually use BH Auto Wheel which i have grown to love but on the way to jet wash I realised i had finished my bottle. Swung by Halfords and picked up AF Imperial wheel cleaner. While it didn’t have the same visible reaction as BH, with a little agitation i was actually pretty impressed with the end result.

And this was a particularly dirty set of brake dust covered wheels.

On a side note, i see Polishedbliss has had a total revamp - seems they are doing a points system rather than possible special offers. The points seem to get you 5p off per point etc in the lowest tier.

Site does look good though.

l find them expensive as are CYC....you've gotta spend £100 or more for free delivery with CYC,but they are the only one's that sell both Gyeon and Gtechniq products, ultimate finish prices are hyped upped as well,in particular their machine polishers there more expensive than anyone else

On one sale from CYC....l spent a £154 and got £6....worth of points......about 4-5% discount pretty guff as it does'nt increase no matter what how much you spend
one of the best sites l found for reasonable prices is in2detailing but their range is limited, hopefully it'll grow...for example the cordless Flex xfe 7-15 l was offered it at £510 bangers......from lmran...which is a £100 bangers less than most the others selling it

At their expense I hope mate? Well done for persevering and not letting it go. Your pride and joy will be as good as new in no time. Bet you’ve been parking so that you don’t have to approach her from the rear (so to speak!).

Clean Your Car weren’t the cheapest, but not too bad and they had all but one of the products on my shopping list. As well as ‘points’ earned I’ve also been given a 7.5% off my next order discount code - so pretty happy overall.

Subscribed to the Forensic Detailing Channel on ‘The YouTube’ today, and had a gander at their beginners guide to using a DAS6 Pro dual action machine polisher. Pandora’s Box well and truly opened. Now on my wish list for Christmas and will undoubtedly take my OCD (and detailing spends) to the next level . Looks to be plenty of good content on their channel to educate me over the dark winter evenings between now and then :readit:. Question - the DAS6 Pro comes with a 5 inch backing plate, and you can buy a 3 inch backing plate to go with it as well, so on this basis will one DA with these two backing plates cover 99% of my needs (and avoid the need to also get my hands on a mini DA)?

Keeping up with you boys ain’t a cheap pass-time !

I’m sure waxing your wheels with Fireball Fusion £80+ wax helps mate lol!

Seriously though, tip - I’ve found that BH Auto Wheels is SERIOUSLY concentrated stuff and can therefore take diluting with water 50/50 and still work VERY well on regularly maintained wheels - on that basis it works out good VFM and helps add some good suds to when you wash the wheels after you’ve used regular auto wash for the bodywork. So you’ve potentially bought 2 litres of the stuff, not 1 mate :thumbs up: I like it as I NEVER take the pressure washer to my wheels - too paranoid about the diamond cut finish getting the dreaded white-worm.

I'll be interested to hear a review of the Angelwax enigma shampoo and QD
