Engine discrepancy - Help

Bloke at work (who's not as into cars) has bought an April 2015 A4 Avant 2.0TDI 177bhp at the weekend.

He's asked me for assistance as, when he got home, he checked a couple of independent websites and it says it's a 150bhp.

Long story short, Audi are saying they've checked against the chassis number and it's definitely a 177.

Any pointers how he could verify independently 100% that this is correct??

The DVLA website says it's 129 g/km emissions if that helps.

On the basis Audi have, in the past sold customers a new car registered and badged as Quattro when in fact it was FWD, I've told him to take nowt for granted.

Page 7 (Dec 2014 doc) shows that both the 150ps & 177ps have 129g/km providing it’s an auto?

So that doesn’t really help to identify power output unfortunately.
