Ok so I have the power boot lid which opens from the key and closes when I press the button inside the boot lid. But I can’t seem to close it from the key - is this normal? It’s a brand new model

Yes, this is correct, unless you've got the Advanced Key option.

You can get it coded by someone with a pc and knows how to use it with the correct cable. (I did) Google coding your Audi, you might have some other options that can be ticked?
