Good evening,

I have just swapped my 1.4 TFSI COD for a 2014 S1 with 25,000 miles on the clock from a genuine Audi dealership.
Not modded and I have no intention of modding it.

I had read lots of great reviews before putting my money down, but have been alarmed since at the amount of owners advising that the S1 needs a new clutch every 5000 miles, this is shocking, and not what I expected (as I expected a clutch to last at lest 50 - 60K)

So I would like to know owners real life experiences,

Ive set up a pole, but I would also appreciate you advising if your:

Clutch has gone
What mileage it was on
And if it was modded or not

Thanks
A concerned new owner.

Original clutch
Currently on 17.5k miles (no slippage to date)
Modded - DTUK box since July 2017 and GFB DVX since December 2017

I am also considering a remap to replace the box at my local independent Audi specialist at some point in 2018 :)

Just passed 28k and mine is perfect. Standard car, no remaps. Love the S1.

Can audi remap it for you ??

Sorry mine is a 65 reg with 12800 on the clock and on the original clutch for now.

I do plan on stage 1 with new clutch and air filter.

55K on the clock, stock clutch. Touch wood no issues yet, except it being quite notchy. Pretty convinced it will start to slip soon though just because of mileage

So update time, now at 20k miles (1k miles with APR stage 1 and 5k with a DTUK box before that) had clutch slip in 5th at 60-70mph so have mine booked in for a SACHS Organic clutch on Monday.

Yeah that's on mine too. Clutch is a lot stiffer but it's brilliant.

16k on the clock standard car perfect thinking of going stage 1 remap. Can you tell us how much to fit the sachs clutch and did you replace the release bearing? complete price please.

Are you looking for a garage to quote this for you? I had mine done at a local independent Audi specialist, www.qstuning.com - the Sachs Organic clutch kit also included a new release bearing (no point in not changing it when the clutch is being done).

Contact QS Tuning for a price including fitting :)
