So somewhere I read if you enable memory function via VCDS you don’t have to enable it every time you get into the car.
On a merc, and newer Audi’s the automatic brake is on by default, and remains on. I want the same thing.

You have to have your seatbelt on, doors closed for it to work too, which I’ll try figure out to disable after I’ve sorted this, but anyone know where you can set this up in VCDS?

Cheers

You can't on pre facelift cars

What’s the reason?

Shame.

Be nice if there was an option to do things like this on startup, like a PC starts programs on boot, be nice if ya could use VCDS to turn buttons on at ignition and such.

You can one one or two things. One is to permanently disbale the stop / start system which I keep meaning to do as it annoys me with its inconsistency

The auto hold can be a bit of a pain when manoeuvring as for me it engages a little too early and then can ‘grab’ the brakes a little too harshly; particularly when you’re about to reverse!

How will disabling S/S enable the auto brakes to be always on?
