Hope this helps, do not use my method if you have the chance! Get the pins and push them through! Job done!

Then speak to @DJAlix to activate it all up!

Wow. Is that it to get the OEM sub? No extra amp?

Would this be on the VW Golf 7 R with the big navigation (ore Facelift)

How do you find the sound now after the installation? I have the subwoofer and just need to order the wiring and plugs.
Do you have the correct part no. for the longer plastic screw for the boot to hold the spare tire and subwoofer?

PS. For other that is thinking of this. The sub output from the main unit in the glowbox needs to be activated. This is NOT possible via VCDS. you need to have VAG CAN PRO (VCP) or if you are in UK you can contact VAG Car Coding and Alex. He is the man to talk to. Great guy and is so service minded.

Since I am from Norway I had to buy the VCP cable. This is increasing the build price but I get the OEM feel and are not loosing the boot space witch is important for me.

I might try to use the Helix amp and cable with the OEM subwoofer if I need more power. Not sure how much the OEM unit is pushing out.

Sound is much better and feels more real if you know what I mean.

Dunno how I survived so long without doing it!

Great. Can't wait have it installed now.
Can you please check the part no on the longer screw?
Thanks

It's written on the top of the screw before the threads...
