I've never once regretted getting Navarra, it's stunning and changes in varying light.

Well finally arrived in the U.K. yesterday after coming out the Factory nearly 1 month ago , dealer contacted me yesterday to say she can do the handover next Friday , so only 6 days to wait :)

Just looking at my 'your Audi ' and some of the specs have changed :nomouth:

Now says I have;

  • Electric front seat adjustment driver´s seat with memory function
  • Radio high scale (gen2)
  • Electric windows at front and rear (it's a 3 door) well that's what i ordered
  • Online service, without OCU, with head unit coding, without engine immobilizer interconnection
Car is built sitting in sheerness :neutral:

just been on livechat asking whether the 15 day wait is just working days and good ol' Gerald said no, 15 days includes weekends. I got there on the 11th.....and we're getting close to the 26th :search:

Got my S3 yesterday after a good long wait. I can't say I'll miss stressing about the tracker every day, but I can say it's been worth the wait. I'm really really chuffed with it. Performance is great and the virtual cockpit is amazing. I didn't realise it even had Streetview too! It's going to take me a good long while to work out all the different aspects to it.

It rained just after I came out of the dealer so not the cleanest pictures even after only 100 miles. Contrary to many other people I actually love the black edition wheels - certainly easier to clean than some of the other designs too.

You must be feeling how I was on Friday

They moved mine back to 11 today from 10, as there was delays starting the checks. Hopefully they don't find anything! I'll be heading over there shortly to find out and collect :)

that part has to be the worst part of the whole experience! Checking tracker almost hourly to see if it's set off yet! I feel for you.

My build week is 12th June. Which is 3 weeks away.

Does that mean (assuming the date doesn't move back) that it should start its build this week?

As I've seen most cars start their build 3 weeks before and are done by the build date!?

My S Line is scheduled to be built NEXT WEEK !! It's the first week of MY18 so I'll get the new 1.5 tsi rather than the 1.4 COD that I ordered. The tracker showing that your order is at the factory. What happens when it moves on a stage do you get an email or anything ?? The VW system can be setup to send a text message each time the car advances a stages. Until recently I've checked myaudi every couple of days but I can feel myself become a slave of the evil order tracker..

This was at the dealers when I ordered mine. It's a stunning colour. I have a Tornado red Golf GTD which I thing is the same shade.

I was under the impression that it should have already started being built and that building starts 3 weeks BEFORE the build date (as I mentioned in my post above).

This is based on all the other built cars in this thread. They are typically ready by the build week and finished.
 
If Audi are anything like VW then once the build week is confirmed (usually 4 weeks prior to build week) your order is fixed and cannot be changed, this is to ensure all the suppliers of the sub assemblies will have manufactured and delivered the bits for your car when it launches on the assembly track.

Once launched on the assembly track, the cars only take a matter of hours to build bearing in mind things like the powertrain, dash etc will be assembled off line. They may well weld the body shell beforehand but 3 weeks prior is doubtfull. Think about the logistics of storing this many body shells. I expect things like the paint process, QC and testing will take the longest but easy to achieve in the build week.

I'm sure that your correct that the actual cars only take a few hours; my Golf R went from build week confirmed to left the factory within 1 day.

The problem is there doesn't appear to be a "build week confirmed" stage with the Audi system. It's unconfirmed until it starts being built.

What about you guys who have cars that have been built?
