Newbie Help!

Hi,

Really sorry if any of this has been asked before...

I have just taken ownership of my first ever Audi (A4 B9 Sport 2.0 TFSI) and coming from my car history (Renault, Honda, Seat) it has been a huge step up in quality. Really loving it so far.

However, I have been struggling to get used to a few bits though and was hoping I could get some answers on here.

I specced my car to have the Technology Pack and Virtual Cockpit. A big selling point was that I could use Google Maps and real-time traffic to try and help me navigate my way to and from work and hopefully miss out on all the usual shenanigans with the M6 and M42 etc! For some reason though the display just seems to have all major roads (regardless of how busy) as red and other minor roads as orange? Does anyone know how I can get the traffic overlay working as it appears normally on the internet and phones? Ie green for clear, orange for congested and red for f*cked!

Secondly I have been looking forward to using Audi Connect and hooked up the link in my car by registering with Audi and entering the PIN in the MMI. However, on my MMI Connect App it says, under settings, that 'no connection to vehicle possible'. Does anyone know how to remedy this?

Like I said; sorry if this has been asked before. Would genuinely appreciate any links or replies to help me out.

I'd like to be wrong but I think that's how google maps is, red for trunk road, orange for B roads - traffic shows as a hatched line along side and blue for route.
It's a bit gash imo
mmi app is the same for me, don't think it's fully functional. Yet.
I pause for "yet" because as I understand there's no definite plan do anything else with it by Audi

Yep Google shows the road in those colours - however if you wait a while it will show the traffic in a thin line next to the road in question. I often switch back to the 'traffic' view because it shows a thicker traffic line on your blue route. Actually the novelty of Google Maps has worn off somewhat and I mainly stick to the Traffic view.

For MMI Connect - try using the myAudi app on your phone to login to Audi Connect. That worked for me (iPhone)

What is `Traffic View` and how do you get it?

If you press right (on VC or MMI) and choose 'map display' there is 3 choices - standard, traffic and Google.
