AMI - Audi Music Interface (iPod and mp3 player connection , displays track info)

You may also see everyones favourite FBMFSW - Flat bottomed MFSW

If I was being really petty I'd say they were acronyms not abbreviations, but I'm not so I won't :D

My First Steering Wheel :lmfao: I like that!

You can fit the Factory OEM Bluetooth to any stereo, just need to connect up the wiring. You can also buy aftermarket kits such as a Fiscon, which I highly rate, but if you're looking to get the RNS-E also then I'd go for the OEM Factory option as it'll integrate with the RNS-E nice.

I charge £320 all in for OEM Bluetooth.

I thought acronyms were words like NATO, NASA, RAF, and REME etc, where the first letters of each word form an actual word when combined? I could be wrong though. xx

    A* for you Paullie!

Acronyms, like you rightly said form words.

RNSE, MFSW, AMI etc are actually initialisms ;)

If you're fitting yourself you can may be able to get the parts off eBay for around £150-£200.

Theres always aftermarket kits. Google Xcarlink.. they're cheap and cheerful ;)

An abbreviation (from Latin brevis, meaning short) is a shortened form of a word or phrase. Usually, but not always, it consists of a letter or group of letters taken from the word or phrase. For example, the word abbreviation can itself be represented by the abbreviation abbr., abbrv. or abbrev.

    or

The term acronym is the name for a word from the first letters of each word in a series of words (such as sonar, created from sound navigation and ranging).[SUP][1][/SUP] Attestations for "Akronym" in German are known from 1921, and for "acronym" in English from 1940.[SUP][2][/SUP] While the word abbreviation refers to any shortened form of a word or a phrase, some have used initialism or alphabetism to refer to an abbreviation formed simply from, and used simply as, a string of initials

And another one, not quite so multi functional, but you can cut your first tooth on it, wipe your nose on it and annoy the life out of your parents by continually pushing the horn  xx
