A bit of advise guys,

Just bought a 2018 S3 ,52k miles from a non Audi dealership i think they done service on car but not 100perc confidant, its last service was 18 months ago @ 38k.
ive had a couple S3,s before and had them well serviced I'm thinking of throwing into a local Audi specialist to get the following done- all oils including brake fluid and transmission gear oils, spark plugs and air filter etc.
The big question is when i had a 2009 s3 i had the tooth belt and water pump done @ 50K i know this is a hot topic as they say now the belt should last forever thoughts please gents and any other suggestions of stuff to look at would be appreciated.
Thanks

EA888 S3 engine has chain drive to camshafts. Unlike engines with toothed belt camshaft drive, I don’t think there is a routine change interval for this.

I bet the S3 was expensive with this inflated market

If they are saying just a oil change I'd go with that .
Does the car have full main dealer history ?

Yes mate but Last one was 38k nearly 2 years ago, but i suspect that's why it was traded in, guessed a major service would be due, I was surprised that's what they said earlier, mech minded myself i would've expected spark plugs and other bits to be done at that mileage especially in that car.
I had a 2009 s3 plate years ago and im sure @50k a major service was done a lot plugs and various stuff Maybe im just been paranoid but think ill go ahead and get what would be a big service done to keep my mind at ease.

I wouldn’t/didn’t wait till 80k for dsg service.
had mine done at 30k. Haldex I would do every 2 years. Recently told at last service Audi recommends 100k for gearbox. Told them I’m not waiting till it pops so got them to do it.
air filter and cabin filter every year. It’s cheap and easy enough to do yourself.

If it gives you peace of mind then get the work done at least you know everything will be good for a while .

My next service will be around 40k and I’ll be getting the DSG box, plugs and air filter changed and a Haldex service which I’m doing annually regardless of mileage for peace of mind. All done by my independent garage who I have total faith in and highly recommend.

Im the same with my cars mate, there is no harm over servicing a car yearly than missing services for the sake of saving a few £. Youl never do it any harm.I dont get people spending 10 thousands on a car and not getting it serviced correctly.

6 speed pre facelift are 40k and 7 speed facelift are 80k according to Audi
Mine is a 19 plate 7 speed DSG and is scheduled for 38k that is from Audi Oldham .
Strange how people are getting told different mileage for work to be done .

Wouldn't trust the main dealerships! Every 2 years is an inspection as well as at least oil, once the car is 3 years old it brake fluid every 2 years.

Last week had my car serviced at a specialist, whilst there I was talking to a guy who has an RS4. He had a big job done at a main dealership last year (before he knew about this specialist) as he was telling me about it the owner of the specialist was listening in, he said so you had this that and the other done as well then? The guy said yes that's right. So he worked it out and said that would have cost you £2,500 here...the bloke looked white...he replied they charged me £4,500!!!!

****** hell that's a lot of cash out the window!, yes ive got a Audi independent near me which I take my cars to anyway but when I picked the car up last week I called Audi just to see what they said about the service records on the car, and like i said they said all it was due was an oil change.
Will be booked into independent next week for major service all oils, brake fluid changed plugs, inspection etc.

My service additional work is from the MyAudi app and you’d like to think they know what they’re talking about. The servicing from new was set up as long life with an oil change and inspection at different times depending on car usage. When I got it I had it switched to annual so one service each year with everything I want done.

Problem with cars is they have to be green including servicing. So a lot of these schedules isn’t whats best for the mechanicals but to fit in with European bureaucracy.
things like gearbox services, timing belt at 100k etc will fail way after the warranty period so manufacturers have a cop out.
we as car lovers/enthusiasts want these things to last longer/forever.
last I checked something like a dsg box will be best part of £10k to replace. A £200 service every now and again could save that.

Serviced when things should be done and the reason I just paid £300 for a 12 month Audi warranty, the box is my biggest worry! So for less than £1 per day it's worth it!!!

I got the all in one warranty/service for £720 for 2 years in case it goes boom but still paid the extra for the dsg/haldex service. To be fair it’s paid for itself already with one claim for leaking thermostat.
the other thing is when I come to sell the car a buyer can see all this extra work was done so hopefully fetch a premium. One can hope at least.
