Hi Guys,

Thought you might be interested but I've been quoted £14p/m for a 36 month 10k per year service plan and to me that sounds ridiculously cheap but I've never owned an Audi before and I don't know the service schedule but surely that is good value?

I know i'm in Croatia so it's not relatable but I payed 1€ a month until 100k km. This was for A6, but that offer was available for all Audi models throughout the range if financed through Porsche Leasing.

Edit: service plan was set like oil change every 30k km by them and it was not adjustable.

That's new, I thought Audi did not have a service plan for RS models, I enquired 2 weeks ago when I took del of my new RSQ3, the answer was still NO.

Mike

I think it came out this week for the RS3 but can’t be 100% sure

Maybe you can help me then. How many services are to be expected in the 1st 3 years? I haven’t seen a service schedule.

thanks

Usually one a year.

At audi prices it’ll be £300-500 per service depending on what they actually do.

First service is just an oil / filter change.

Jimbo255 & Stu-27 - Do either of you have any more info on the plans offered to you?
£14/m (£504) would be good value if it includes two oil changes, an inspection service, all fluids and an MOT.
Have just checked the Audi website and 2 years for my previous S3 (2015) would be £20.79/m (£499).
Nothing available there for my new RS3, so will have to contact dealer.

I have asked for clarification but my sales guy is off this week so probably next week.

£14pm must be wrong?! We pay £45pm for the wife's A35 albeit over 2 years not 3.

TX.

I don't know if this is relevant but I just put my 8Y VIN number into the app and under assistance systems it suggests: Service Indicator 30k or 2 year years.

As often alluded to in other threads there is NO way on earth that I would want a high performance Turbocharged car running the same oil for 19K miles.
Going to be as per the norm I'd imagine
Lube
Inspection
Lube
More involved inspection

And repeat.

Thanks, so is mine! So, will have to wait until he returns as well.
Based on your later post, this may be a special deal from Audi Financial Services.
kormilo1950 says above that he was offered service for just 1 Euro/m from Porsche Leasing.

I think that will be for an "Inspection Service." There will an Oil Change before that and then between each subsequent Inspection Service.

Sounds about right - my S3 service plan is £13.24 for 3 years

I never use Audi for servicing - had so many issues in the past with them, plus getting a convenient date is even hard work. I use an independent and they actually care about my custom, always do a great job and fit me in when it suits me. Oh and they charge a lot less than Audi. Warranty intact too, so don't fool for that old chestnut when signing on the dotted.
I do exactly the same, for the same reasons.

Only good thing about getting audi to service it is for the full dealer service history, which to most it doesn't mean anything but when selling the car on, dealers do look for that and the likes of the buy it now sites normally give less if its not main dealer in my experience

I'll be going specialist as before, had too many main dealer service nightmares. Car always came back damaged in some way.
On my 8V S3 I used a specialist from the start and had no issues at part-ex back to Audi and the dealer sold it as approved used.

The independent, I used was able to update the service history and was able to see only his updates. Whereas the Audi dealer can see all but tends to ignore the independents, even though serviced with VAG parts.

I had this with a dealer I normally sell my cars onto.
He only wants cars serviced solely at Audi.

I was told £349 for the first service recently if that helps with context.

I’m going to do an oil change as a “running in” service shortly.

Just heard back: No Service Plans available for RS3s. Oil Change Service £345, Inspection Service £486.
So, the plans mentioned must be special deals from finance companies and offer good value for money.

I’ll think you’ll find that’s not true. Having questioned this with my son who works at Guildford Audi, his reply was simply, “lies” LOL

Other than saying "lies" did he give any helpful information about the service plan?

Are you financing your RS or Cash Purchase? That may have something to do with it, and i'll ask my son again
ok so its available - Has to be direct debit as it’s a nuisance setting it up as paid in full, but car doesn’t have to be on finance too get it, nor financed through Audi. I'd give your dealer a slap and tell him to understand his product portfolio - LOL

The plan quoted by jimbo255 is from his finance company, is for a longer period and is much cheaper than anything on the Audi website.
The problem is that the Audi website specifically excludes all RS (and a number of other) models from the two year plans shown there.
The Lookers website does likewise, and the salesman had to check with the service department before confirming that none were available.
As noted above, it would be helpful if your son could provide the details and costs of any plans that his dealership can offer for RS3s.

@jimbo255
Explain this as per the chat you and I had.
I’ve also again asked my son to further clarify

The car has to be new, registered and less than one month old to be able to purchase the service plan. On any of them a 3 year service plan at 10k per annum is 14.10 a month - Call Guildford Audi and ask to Speak to Ellis - He can sort the plan for you. He's back on Tuesday.

hi Guys,

Apologies @Detail Devil for my tardiness. The above quote is what I was sent and I’m not having this car financed by Audi this was purely a quote for a RS3 service plan that on the face of it I will take up as it looks to be good value. If your salesman tells you that nothing exists then they really need to speak to their service manager as it was released a couple weeks ago and the price should be similar to mine.

Seems cheap... could it be based on that flexible servicing thing where they say something like 18k/2years between oil changes :grimacing:, so in your 30k contract you'll have one oil change and inspection?
Interested to see what your dealer comes back with.

Did you ever hear back re this Jimbo? Think it's a really good point. Seems like good value on the face of it and probably is if you intend to do a lot of miles in the first 3 years. But if you're a low mileage user, it might not be as worth it if you have to stick to when the service indicator appears.

The best case would be you can take it to Audi every 12 months regardless of mileage.

Hey Wilson, no not yet as the salesman is out until Monday so I guess I'll hear about it when he gets back. I pick the car up in 10 days so I'm sure Ill have the info quickly and I'll share as soon as I get it.

The service plan is based on 3yr 10k per year basis. If you do less miles per year, then fine, but the car will still be serviced on a yearly basis and as you say, should be in any case

So @Detail Devil is correct in that the car is due to be serviced every 9300 miles or annually, whichever comes first. The service plan that I was quoted includes 3 services and includes it all apart from the Haldex oil and the Brake fluid. So for me the £504 for 3 services this seems a good deal.
