I see most aftermarket downpipes do not utilize the engine mounting bracket as the stock one does. I think the only company that is still utilizing it is unitronic. Any reason for this besides cost? My concern is that the mount is there for good reason. Coming from a 16 year old mk4 Jetta i has a couple cracked flex joints on both factory and aftermarket downpipes. I’m really looking at the AWE catted and resonated Downpipe at the moment because I don’t want all the noise or drone.
Thanks
