What have you done to your 8V today?

@OliS3 what was the reason for changing from the FSR to the JB1 ?
It adds fuel and doesn't wait for the cars short term trim to kick in meaning it is smoother with the s-tronic and I can plug my laptop in and mess with it lol

There isn't really anything between them performance wise other than launch control is very aggressive

Had to get the Ceramic on the bonnet re-applied

Why...........?
Went to see my detailer last week about marks on the bonnet from unfiltered tap water
Image1459522201590626

He wiped it over with IPA cause the CQUARTZ say their Ceramic is supposed to be resilient to any chemicals...and it had stripped it off (note to self not to use IPA)

All sorted now

Lovely Rob :)

Looks like you've got similar weather to down here mate, been sunny but now a bit overcast. I love Daytona on a bright cloudy day the paintwork takes on a almost liquid metal look............sweeeet!!

It is mate very overcast but stayed dry for me at least I managed to do what I wanted on it. New discs can't come some enough rust is coming through again on the hubs which is annoying.

Still loving Daytona it's very difficult to capture its depth on days like today and only fellow Team members will appreciate it LoL.

is it not a case of opening the door, and peeling the trim away, then working around the window itself?

Im tempted to get the Quattro stickers now. Damn it.

Fitted my Dashcam and sunband does a great job of making it almost invisible.

Routed the cable via the door seal and under the rear seat mat into the rear 12v socket so still leaves the front socket free if needed.

HINT: Used a bicycle tyre lever as the tool to push and hide cable between trim and window

Image quality looks pretty good for a £28 (reduced from £90) piece of kit, will give it go on the road tomorrow

Chrome trim will clip into the rubber encapsulation around the glass and quite possibly has 3M double sided tape on it too.
As for the glass that's bonded in with a PU adhesive - it'll need to be cut out using a special tool like a mini circular saw or a cheese wire it's quite specialist so prob best having it done by Autoglass or similar.

Not sure?...can't find anything online....I'm probably going to go and see an Authorised Audi Repairer to swap the glass over tbh as I'm not wanting to damage anything

LoL !! ..... decisions decisions solid or outline ?????
outline! . . . in pink?

a matte black or a deep anthracite would be good, so it has a subtle contrast to panther black!

i did ignore the S3 today...By playing in the Ferrari.

i saw my first F40 when i was about 17, on the motorway, in the middle lane, to its left was an Audi R8 and to the right was a lambo. surrounded by range rovers with camera men hanging out the back of them.
that day, i knew i had to get myself an F40, no matter what!

10 years later, i have on.
