Fuel Gauge

I have been on an eco drive with my last few tanks of petrol and have been watching my fuel gauge a lot! i have realised that the first quarter goes very slowly, the rest goes pretty quickly and it gets to 1/8th and stops, i go another 50 miles or so and then it will suddenly be on minimum, i have a new fuel gauge sender which i had fitted when i had my white dis conversion so i am just wondering how i can make the gauge more accurate?

Dont think you can, it's just the way it is... It was the same with my Golf too!

Oh well, that is a shame, i got 135 miles on a quarter of a tank yesterday which i was impressed with but not sure what i will get when the tank gets to 1/2
