Fuel Gauge Sticking!?

The fuel gauge when starting first time often 90% of the time gets stuck in the Empty position. When turning engine off and restarting it goes to the original position. Often it actually take a few turns off before going back. Its damn annoying!

Any Ideas?

Mine has done this a couple of times but have no idea what the cause or remedy is but if you hear ought let me know

Anyone had any ideas on this? I've filled my tank to the brim today (can see the fuel at the top of the filler neck) and the fuel gauge is reading just over 3/4 of a tank? Any help?
