Sounds good.

I seem rather busy really and I'm not happy about it.
I want to take my bumper off to find out what this random cable is and just relax playing GTAv. O well.

At least I get to have some cider.

Morning all

I have a 6 day weekend starting today...woohoo...

I should really just say I have just under a week off!!

Anyway, have an awesome Easter guys, I only logged in to check a few bits for work and am signing off now.

Yup, me too. Finished at 3. Back in again Monday night. Yeeha.
Plan on gutting the car tomorw and trying to sort the garden. Well thats the plan anyway.
Hoping the weather holds out.

Morning all.

This weekend I've managed to squeeze in a bit of drinking, a bit of gardening, and I've fitted LED spot lights in our bathroom. I really want to do the whole house and see how much we can get the electricity bill down ;)

What jobs has everybody else got done?

Well I managed to give the car the first proper clean of the year, clayed and polished. Needed it badly.

Spent nearly all day yesterday in the garden pottering about. Chuffed with the results.

Got dinner today with the olds. Hopefully I've gained enough brownie points with the Mrs that I might even get a night on the Xbox,
Also got last nights UFC to watch. Back to work tomorrow night.

Been the most productive Easter I've had for a while.
Looking forward to May Day now.

P.s
Sorry about the wrong way photo, dont know how to turn it on the Ipad.

Easter evenin y'all!
Spent all day yesterday afternoon painting my ginger calipers, and all day today cleaning the 5!
Knackered now but felt justified!
100% improvement, now all lovely and shiney in all the right bits!
For reward, a Chinese for tea because working tomorrow!
Hey hum, so is life!

Cheers guys.
Westy... The garden backs on to a massive field thats owned by a local farmer.
Its full of lovely tasty looking lambs at the moment. Mmmm fresh.
Its just a wee cottage we've got, well quiet.

Chez.... Yeah, I think any dog would dig on it(no pun intended)
Although as I've said, I dont think the sheep would be to keen.
I've got two cats, Jay & Silent Bob, that have free range. Lots of prezzies left for us in the morning.

Well I've managed to wrangle a night on the Xbox. Sweet.
Enjoy whats left off the holidays folks.

I'm watching some program about the mk1 escort, it's friggin ace!

Then i'm about to watch last night's UFC. I've kept finding out results recently, but i've stayed away this time, so it's more exciting.

Ok easter weekend so far, washed the car today and tried to clean up the exhaust tips as they were nasty as can be. They look loads better, but not perfect. Got a few other odd jobs on it tomorrow and a bit of uni work to finish off.

What were you using on the exhaust Crazy. Ive tried solbrite and the likes but doesnt seem great.

Im the same with the UFC. Hate getting results early. Looking forward to the Jones fight end of the month.

If your looking for a good product for exhaust tips......I went out on a limb and purchased The Metal Twins from Britemax as the S3 pipes were boggin'. And what a great product - 2 stage clean with a cleaner and then a sealant and ****** hell they work. Cuts through carbon deposits like nothing Ive seen. Chrome pipes again on the S3 and now that they've been sealed it will make future cleaning alot easier.

Might have to give that a go, cheers!

I used autosol metal Polish (think that's what it's called, I'll check tomorrow)

It was OK, but after an hour of graft they're still not spotless.

As for ufc, yeah I hate knowing results before I've seen the fight. It sucks big time! Nice to see we have a fellow ufc fan though in here.

Edit: some pics

Just fit a new battery to the b5. It's been leaking acid and ruining the bulkhead. All should be good now :)

I started last night, finished at 6 this morning.
Feels like I've never been away.
On a bit of an extra downer as well as returning to work, one off my cats has gone walkabout.
Mrs is devastated, been gone since Sat.

Fingers crossed.

back to the grind!!! So gardening all done cars washed, my parents bought a puppy bulldog which has decided to howl and bark every night till 5ish in the morning so im shattered!!

Get up this morning after struggling not to ignore the alarm to see some little pikey f*ck decided to steal the fog light surrounds on my brothers seat bocanegra so i had to check my car aswell and nothing has been taken thankfully!! Thing is the brothers car was on the driver right infront of the door!! Must of given them a step to sit on whilst they decided to take them!!

Hows every one else?

Bad news mate. Do your cats normally go missing? My mate has a cat that's pretty feral and can go missing for weeks at a time, then it comes back and stays for a bit. He's found him over 3 miles away from home before at an old quarry!

I've got 3 cats and they don't stray too far. Longest ones gone missing for so far is 12 hours.

Problem with Easter weekend is most people are in their sheds and garages doing jobs so it's easy for a nosey cat to get locked in. Might be worth dropping a note through all your neighbours doors asking them to check their out buildings.

Cheers Westy.
Yeah we've done all the usual stuff. Searching the area, got the neighbours to keep an eye out.
He's went Awol for a day before, not this long. It's the time of year for Foxes on the prowl, it's the not knowing thats the hard part.

Fingers crossed he'll just show up and want fed like everythings cool.

Morning again all.

Sucks bout the cats mate but they are their own animal more than Dogs I guess, so it happens but hopefully he'll turn up alive and well mate.

Woo hoo.!!! My cat just showed up at the house this morning. Been gone 6 days. Well happy.
Thanks for the support gents, much appreciated.
I know its the reality of owning an outdoor cat that they might just decide to vanish, just wish I knew where he'd been.
Will take him to the vets, get a quick check up, but he seems cool.

Right, thats out the way, anybody doing anything good this weekend
Weather North of the Border is rubbish at the weekend, no car washing this time.
Maybe try and finish of the garden. I feel so middle aged. :(

Morning all.

I had my first ever experience of a diesel spill this morning. Going down a 2 mile 50mph a-road leading up to a 70mph dual carriageway and I could smell diesel the whole way along. I opened my window to see if it was stronger outside or not as I was worried my car had started to leak. As I reached the end of the a-road where it joins the dual carriageway I put my foot down in 5th gear and just lit up the wheels! I was looking around at the other cars and nobody seemed too fussed so I started to think my car had an issue. Another mile and I knew a roundabout was coming so I sat in the slow lane and tested my brakes to see how they were fairing. As I slowed for the roundabout I could feel the ABS through the brake pedal and I knew I'd need to take the roundabout steady. I went round the medium sized roundabout at 20mph and was under steering like ****.

Quarter of a mile after the roundabout was a big layby so I thought I'd pull in there and just check the car over as nobody else seemed to be going sideways through it. As I pulled in, another fella pulled in behind me, jumped out and started looking at his tyres. I went and had a chat with him and he'd had the same issues as me. I was pretty glad to hear it wasn't my car ;)

Anyway, I'm sure there will be an accident there later if the Highways Agency don't get some sand down soon. I now see what all the fuss is about diesel on the road, it's worse then ice!

On another note, I now have a bird stuck behind the fascia boards on my house where It's got in and the guys replacing my facias and guttering have trapped it in there. My cats are going mental, and the bird work us up scratching about at 05:30am!

How is everyone else today?

Superb news matey. I have noticed that my 3 cats are out a hell of a lot more now then they ever have been and I think it's because of all the spring wildlife. My 2 year old male ginger spent the entire night chasing things round the back garden last week. I'd already had to finish off a maimed pigeon that evening, and when I came down in the morning there was a dead mouse in the kitchen. Your cat must have had a 6 day hunting trip ;)

This weekend I'm supposed to be having a BBQ! Weather forecast is bad for Saturday but I'll persevere as I spent over an hour cleaning the BBQ last weekend and painted up all the garden furniture. Who feels middle aged now! :(

Morning all,

Weldone on the cats mate.

Westy, can you get them back out to release the bird?

My sister is getting married tomorrow so my weekend will be recovering from that I suspect.

Our gardener turned up yesterday for the first time.
He cut the front hedge back and cut the grass.
He said he'll be back tomorrow to finish off the rest of the garden.
So hopefully when we get home on the weekend we will have a nicely cleaned, pruned and weeded garden. Lovely.

Last day off today. Will be spent waiting for phone calls.
1) hear when my block will be done at machine shop
2) VW to say my step sons 1st car is ready. Jammy little fooker has had a car bought for him. Nothing flash but decent enough. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398324049739329
58 plate Fox.

I think I'm gonna have a wander to ships to get some more grass seed to try and improve my lawn.
Had it all turfed 2 years ago but never been great.

Today's weapons of choice are:
