    Anyone seen this LPG S3?

Errr, hold one before you bite my head off! The main reason for looking at it was because it looks tidy and is local! I then started to wonder how an S3 behaved with LPG, so did a quick google and found this thread. Anyone buying a performance car and worrying about MPG is buying the wrong...

    Anyone seen this LPG S3?

Oh yeah, massive selection! The LPG appeals to her as she currently has a 307 TDI which does 70mpg.

    Anyone seen this LPG S3?

We are currently looking for an S3, and spotted an LPG converted one on Pistonheads. I did a quick google to see if LPG suits an S3, and this thread appeared! It is the same car, but is now for sale in Leicestershire for £4995. Something does'nt seem to add up, will be interesting to see what...

    Your thoughts please, C5 rs6

Definitely! The gap between S3 and RS4 is also then another gap the same size from RS4 to RS6! Running an RS4 is very expensive, and an RS6 is VERY VERY expensive....

Hence why they are so cheap to buy these days ;) Not many people want such huge costs for a car getting on for 10 years old.

Anyone thinking of selling their S3 soon?

As title, my girlfriend is thinking about getting one soon. Mods not important, but sensible/tasteful ones would be fine. Please post pics/spec/price if you reply, thanks :)

    Your thoughts please, C5 rs6

A generic remap will see over 500bhp on an RS6, thats nothing really. I need to get to MRC to have my map tweeked and I'll have the magic 500 too, you dont need an RS6 to get big power ;)

    Your thoughts please, C5 rs6

You need to budget 5-10k a year just to run/service an RS6, and that does not include fuel costs! If you want some big power get an S4/RS4, they are much cheaper to run than an RS6 (but still expensive!) My S4 is 482bhp, I drive it every day and averages 18mpg with a mix of all driving styles...

Anyone fancy an S2 avant? (swap for s3)

Thanks, it is a job offer and the need to comute that is dictating it mainly. At the moment the S2 is pretty much a weekend only car, it barely does 30 miles a week at the moment! Forgot to put a pic of the enginebay on lol

4" bass port mod on the airbox (Maybe something you S3 boys could do too?) Some interior pics... Nearly £19000 of receipts and paperwork!! (Not all shown)

    Wheel problem continues

Yeah, I read that.... are the rs4 copies the deep dish ones? There are two types of copy, flat ones and deep ones. If they are deeper ones like on my car I might have one as a spare

    Boost guage

Well what makes YOU think that you need one? Unless the engine is highly tuned its not really going to be an issue or something that you need to closely monitor. If its just a standard remap it should be safe enough anyway

Do you really need an AFR gauge? Ive had cheap boost gauges in the past, and they are either inaccurate or the needle isnt rock steady

I agree its not cheap, but then it doesnt look cheap either, unlike most of the ebay specials for 20 quid lol! I was lucky enough that my mate sold me his for 30 quid, as his S4 was making more than 30psi and going off the scale hahaha!
