AUDI A3/S3 or any Audi in my books about the best motor about today, build quality is second to none, i keep mine for 3 years and i have never suffered a squeak or rattle in this time (apart from a bump stop left in a new un at PDI) you could never go back to a Ford, Vauxhall unless you really...
This is my 3rd new A3 and to be honest.......................................Its the dogs.........................Dunno what it is but they just stand out from the crowd :o.k:
Standard S Line with 18 inchers is harsh enough for me. Would not like to go any harsher than that !!!!!! I mean whats the point !!!! Shake your fillings out for 5 hours on a trip to The Highlands arrive there and think well it looks low and mean parked outside but my ****** teeth ache after...
Its not just Audi, i had a similar thing with Honda a few years ago regarding my 70 year old father in law sending his civic to Crewe for a routine service without my knowledge. They phoned him to say (brake problem sir) to which he agreed unfortunately, they replaced both front disks and pads...
Our truck imobilisers require a factory password every time they are entered into for key coding. Every access requires a new password. I would think Audi run a similar setup to this. otherwise its not secure and will not gain thatcham approval.:blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1:
All S3's have poor fuel economy when going well :yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:
I managed to get 200 PS 2.0 T to average 19 MPG over a couple of days
The future is small displacement turbo petrols i can assure you.
Easy to meet emissions, diesels are getting more and more difficult to meet new emissions.
1.4 Tfsi the engine of the future :happy::happy::happy:
2.0 Tfsi the engine of the past :no::no::no:
The breathers a separator unit that puts the fumes through the turbo and the oil in the sump. if the engines over full with oil that might explain it otherwise crappy turbo's
Oil through the combustion process screws emissions and cats so i cant see Audi fitting dodgy turbos
When you get excessive oil in intercoolers you loose engines BIG STYLE.
Must be crappy turbo's  What make are they ??? KKK's, Holset, Garret.
Perhaps its a common fault on low boost petrols or diesels !
Real diesels boost up to 2.7 bar
Erm :ohmy::ohmy: Your intercooler should not be leaking gunky oily stuff from the split, sounds like yer turbo's slobbering down to your intercooler it should be charge air only.
I think the engine ECU will adjust automatically once its exhaust and engine sensors settle down to what fuel type you are running  not 100% sure of this  Im sure its just an injection timing thing
