Cool, so, I guess we should try to book tomorrow then.

Its quiet'nd down a bit, I'll PM all the people that have shown interest...

PM'd S3 LTN, gaazzaone, L60N, Crisis, mitch78, madalex, Kev_M5KPL and S3-Nick.

Going to post on the 8L forum too...

Hi lads,
Been busy over the weekend havent been active.
I'm in for it defo. Got a mate ready too. We are ready to book anyway.

But don't want to add confusion but i have been thinking want if we go by ferry... would be cheaper... we could go have a bite to eat, relax, sit down make plans and just socalise and get to know.

I dont mind goin on train either but was just thinking would be cool. Have a think anyway but has it stands i'm in.

Any news then? I've just booked my room at the hotel. Not many rooms left, so everyone that's coming needs to book pretty quickly!

Have we decided on whether we're using train or ferry?

I'll book today, I'm probably going to use the euro tunnel.

All booked up!

Eurostar 20:20 on the 2nd of May to Calais and 17:20 on the 5th of May back to Folkestone.

There are a couple of guys that might book in in a few days depending on whether they can come so they might end up in a different hotel, but thats not a big deal so long as they are in Vitrolles.

Can't wait now!

Alex / Mitch PM me your phone numbers. Want to have a chat so i can book up too. Want to get the times right etc etc.
Cheers

The bullet is bitten.

IM ON THE EUROSTAR BABY :D

Vitrolles here we coooome :s3addict:

Have you lads got some sort of European breakdown cover.?
I'm not a member of the AA / RAC but just got a quote from AA = £31.23.

Single Trip Cover

Up to £2,000 cover for 1 trip, including roadside assistance, vehicle recovery and emergency car hire and accommodation.

L6ON PM me your contact number too. I think we all should now.
Going to book mine shortly...

I didnt book any cover. I'd be on the phone to Audi if it broke down!!!

Im gonna chance it me thinks.

Sent u a pm S3 LTN

Hmmm.... I don't think Audi do European cover... or do they??

Anyways got your PM.

Plus need to obviously load up the Europe Nav CD but i cant take the UK CD out of the Nav system. Not sure why it won't eject. Not sure if Audi have got it set like that and you've got to take it to them.... or am i the only one?

Which nav have u got?

My CD based one is in the front loading bay of my stereo. Not sure which model it is, the £700 pound coppout option

I've got the dogs ******** tomtom, worked a treat last time.

Just wana use my Audi Nav.. will make spending £30k on a car feel more worth while...

Yeah will defo get AA cover... Peace of mind really. I know the S3 wont have issues but pure peace of mind.

I went with the RAC for about the same price.

I went with RAC last time, but not going to bother this time because I heard Audi Assist cover Europe now, I'll check before we go though.

Going to book mine tomorrow now. Will call one of you guys so you can give me the right places to ring and book up.

In the mean time i got to get the car serviced and get new tyres put on. The Falkens are s***.
They'll spoil the road trip completely if i leave them on there.

By the way, France is on the same disc as the UK, so no need to swap.

Oh. Thats cool then. Sorted.

Alex. When you do find out about Europeon cover, ask what exactly is included with the package.

I booked the hotel on expedia.co.uk.

Yeah, I need new tyres too, also need to check there is plenty of brake pad left!

Will do, thinking about it, the RAC cover will probably be much more comprehensive, but I'll see.

Ive got the DVD / MP3 (SD card) one.

Doesn't eject poxy thing.

It's the old dealer safety feature. If you have access to vagcom change adaptation channel 67 of the RNSe from 255 to 1. This will force the disc to eject and turn off the eject button lockout.

Ah, thought it might be something to do with "safety". :icon_thumright: John.

Anybody know where i can source a Europe CD for my navigation?

Its states UK & Ireland on my Disc :3sadwalk:

We are leaving on Friday night (2nd), drving through the night and getting to the hotel around 7 in the morning on the Saturday (3rd) and checking in, sleeping for a few hours, go for a drive, go back to the hotel to sleep, go for a drive on Sunday (4th), go back to hotel to sleep again, leave for Calais on Monday morning (5th).

So we only need 2 nights Saturday(3rd) and Sunday (4th), check out on Monday (5th).

Im booked in guys. :icon_thumright:

So, eurocrossing is booked, Hotel is booked.

All i need now is a co-pilot for some company!
