Think our cars are travelling together. Rang Audi CS this morning to be told that the car is expected to hit UK shores today or tomorrow where is sits for about a week, has an initial PDI then gets sent on its way to the dealership.

I might go down this weekend to catch a glimpse. But might be in the warehouse they have

Sounds like a plan mate. I certainly want to check mine out before handing over any cash or signing anything after the mistake was made with the wrong gearbox having been fitted you've probably seen the thread.

Somtimes I think im in the wrong profession. Its my 1st audi dont know anything about audis cant see how its possible to **** the order up. My salesman told me 3d black inlays cost extra lol I wanted 2 add some things 2 my car and my salesman wasnt in I asked reception if they cud make sure I had black headliner woman replied what is headliner? Lol even if my roof rails are missing red bc im not having it. Courtesy audi r8 v10 plz.

Yes, pretty vague! Last time I spoke with Ben he reckoned mid-March, but said they would know more once it was shipped etc. I am away with work in Germany for two weeks from March 16th, so hope it comes before then!

Just had confirmation mine is being built as I write this from the beach in Dubai. Collection first week of March from York,can't wait. Any one else collecting from York?

Bw6 ive got a call this morning my cars about 2 enter the country. If I pic the car up in febuary they will give me £300 off.

Ordered 5th dec orignal given date 20th march bw6 given end of jan uk audi 3rd march dealers will try get it 1st march. Asked the question about midnight pick up other dealer have they said no

To be honest I wouldn't give a crap if someone said that. The car is still only 3 weeks old on the 1st of March. I just asked for the £300 due to future trade in value as it will indeed be valued as a 64 plate.

it makes even less difference in my case as I'm running a private plate, if people go by my reg, they may assume mines a 1985 S3, lol

So at 3:00pm today my dealer phoned to say the money had cleared and the car was waiting for me in the handover room. I said ill see you in 10 minutes !!

somewhere in between. Im a strong believer that if you let it warm up first but not go bouncing off the limiter it will be fine. Audi run them in to some degree at the factory.

I think i will play it the same on the run in routine.......as long as the engine is warmed up ....i will give her some gas (not redline)

Time for bed, absolutly knackered, I've familiarised myself with everything, filled an SD Card full of music, and done a few VCDS mods tonight:

Acoustic lock
DRL's off in 0 position
Rear DRL's
Ignition warning buzzer
Oil temp in DIS
Passenger mirror dip
Parking visual aid.

Think that's it, a few tweaks makes it just right !

Passenger mirror dip is standard on folding mirrors, but not standard mirrors.

Rear DRL is turning the rear lights into daytime running lights so they are always on when the front led's are. Not a legal requirement in the uk to have rear ones, just front, but the lights on the back look so nice.

With rear DRL's do the number plate lights stay on?

I, will dig them out and post later, not sure on number plate lights. I doubt it as the coding is turning on the lights individually and setting them the daylight running.

The ignition thing stops the alarm buzzer if you open the drivers door with the key in the ignition,
