totally agree with you mate.. what people tend to do in Aust. not sure about the UK but give false adresses as to where the car is kept to lower premiums and it works everytimeokay im 22, have 2 cars insured BMW 320D & AUDI A3 2.0tdi... Yearly quote is £882 with average 30k a year driving postcode ROMFORD!
swear insurance companies make up the numbers as they go along!

So true as insurance covers you nationwide... it asks where it is kept over night ect they will never check
I would think they would providing the claim wasn't dodgy, what happens if you go away let's say u stay at a hotel or maybe at mates house and something happens, nowhere in my policy does it say I can't leave my car anywhere other than my house of a night. So if you state that it's kept at your address overnight, but keep it somewhere else and something happens and you can't get it to your address, you think insurance will pay out?

agreed if the claim isnt dodgy i dont see why the hell not.. not sure about you guys but on the product disclosure statement never states that your car has to every night parked at your house... they cant enforce such none sense on people and restrict there freedom

Doh, didn't think about that.
Well my insurance will be cheaper next year...
If you think an insurer will pay out if they find that the address the car is insured at isn't the primary place the car is kept then you are mental. Trust me on this one.
You under estimate how sly the other party's legal people are, and those of your own insurer. I have been in a similar situation* and it did not go well. It's great fun until you have a bump where both insurers will use any method to wriggle out of a claim or shift liability.
I'm all for cutting corners to save some cash but this aint one of them lol
* though make no admission that I ever at any point used a wrong address intentionally or otherwise when filling out an insurance policy.
