Help !!!

Car is dead , cant open using the fob, when key inserted in ignition there is no reaction at all , the only sign of life is 5 controls lights up when trying to open the car with a key fob . Is the battery dead ?

What happens to the 5 controls lights it you put the wipers on.
If they go out and the wipers don't work then your battery id dead.

Origial battery dead after 10 years. Got a new one

Also your 5 miles drives will soon start to kill off a battery even more so in the winter months.
