After an issue with the navigation system failing to start which wasn't resolvable by a reboot, I booked in my 2021 A6 for it to be looked at under warranty. Resolution was a complete reinstall of the software and the first thing I noticed after re-pairing my phone was the Android Auto / Carplay message had been updated offering wireless for both. A quick pair and it works perfectly, finally making the wireless charger useful as I previously had to plug phone in for Android Auto making the charging space somewhat useless. Finally.
