Thinking about some RS4 replicas (i like the oem look)

Would ET45 19x8 with 225/35/19 tyres rub on a standard S3 or should it be ok?

Aye Ive been looking at these in 8.5J with ET46. Didnt want to go with 225's cos of the rim protection not being there and then thought that 235s would probably give some rubbage?

The 8.5J would definitely give it a better road presence/ stance

My rims say 19"x8, and I'm going with 235/35/19 tyres...

Correct me if i'm wrong but this is my thinking

S3 wheels are et54
10mm spacers are fine so et44 is ok with 225/40/18 18x7.5 - 15mm spacers rub
Going to et45 with 18x8 wheels and 225/35/19 should then be ok (but closer to the arch than having a 10mm spacer on the standard wheel)

Doesn't going for either 19x8.5 or going with 235/35/19 on 19x8 put you close to rubbing territory?

I used 235 35 19 on 8.5J Rim ET48 and it does catch on the screw holding the under arch trim, once removed and replaced with a smaller screw it is fine.

so if 15mm spacers rub how would either of these be ok?
